Drake, on a recent Kick stream, revealed, after years, that he had previously purchased the same vehicle that Quavo had gifted Saweetie back in December 2020 and returned it to Quavo. Early in 2021, after the rapper and Saweetie broke up, many wondered what became of the viral icy blue Bentley that Quavo had gifted.

In December 2020, Quavo surprised Saweetie with a customized Bentley Continental GT convertible. The luxury car had “Icy”-stitched headrests and snowflake designs, a shoutout to Saweetie's brand and moniker. The incident went viral, and Saweetie reacted with joy on Instagram Live, which was celebrated as one of the biggest splurges in hip-hop celebrity gifts.

At the time, the two seemed like a solid couple, having been together for nearly three years. However, by March 2021, Saweetie had confirmed the relationship had ended, hinting that cheating had been an issue in the breakup.

Speculations about the viral icy blue Bentley resurfaced when Migos released Culture III in June 2021, where Quavo rapped on the song “Having Our Way”:

"She had it her way, now she out of a Bentley. (Skrrt)/(Skrrt, skrrt, get out, ooh)."

Many listeners interpreted this as Saweetie no longer being in possession of the Bentley. While he didn't take or mention names, it was clear to everyone back then.

Drake reveals the story years later

Adding a new chapter to the incident, Drake revealed on the stream that after spotting the Bentley for sale, he bought it for Quavo himself. He stated that he then surprised Quavo with the unexpected gift of the Bentley:

"Okay...all right. I'mma tell it. You remember when...when...when the Sweetie Bentley was going viral? Remember there was a ice blue Bentley? It was Sweetie's car. They say that Quavo got it for her."

He continued, saying it was then that he decided to buy it for the rapper:

"And I was like, oh. Like, I saw it for sale somewhere, and this is like when we were first on Stake, and paper was just running. So I was. Or maybe it was before that. Or maybe it was before that. And so I was like, man, just. I was like, I saw it for sale. Like, yo, I'm gonna buy that back for my dog."

He spoke about the moment when he invited Quavo over and how he reacted:

"So then I'm like, I, like, kind of tried to do the same thing where I was like, I invited him over, and I'm like, yo, like, come over to this party. I parked the whip right in the front. And I was like, he pulled up like, he's like, oh, like. He thought she was there...He didn't really understand the joke."

This gesture by Drake showed loyalty and brotherhood within the rap circle. It highlighted how strong Drake's affiliations with the Migos were, with whom he has collaborated on numerous occasions and produced multiple hits.

Drake's account aligns with a report by TMZ back in 2021, which mentioned a Bentley exactly similar to the one Quavo had given Saweetie. The car had appeared for sale at Jake's Motorcars, an exotic car dealership in California, for $279,888.

The previously owned Bentley Continental GTC V8 was described as being in “pristine” condition, with only 2,191 miles logged. It was “loaded with options,” including 22-inch wheels, a blue paint job, blue leather interior, and, of course, the distinctive “Icy” embroidered headrests.

Drake's account explains how the Bentley ultimately went back to Quavo, even though it was never officially confirmed who had put it up for sale.
