On July 6, Erika Kirk shared a joint statement via her social media on behalf of Charlie Kirk’s family. The TPUSA CEO released it in the morning shortly before they’re expected to face the late activist’s murder suspect, Tyler Robinson, for pretrial in court. For those unknown, Charlie Kirk was shot while hosting an event at the University on September 10 last year.Erika Kirk shared a statement on behalf of Charlie’s parents, Robert and Kathryn, his sister Mary, and herself. She wrote that every court session served as a ‘painful’ reminder of her husband’s death.“Charlie was a beloved husband, son, brother, friend, and father. Every court proceeding serves as a painful reminder of his death and the loss that has irrevocably impacted our lives and the lives of his children.” Erika wrote.Erika Kirk continued:“We remain deeply grateful for the support, prayers, and kindness we have received. This outpouring has sustained us during the darkest days of our lives. Out of respect for the judicial process, we will not be commenting further at this time. We ask for continued privacy as we navigate this process and immense grief.”Tyler Robinson will appear in court for a preliminary hearing of Erika Kirk's husband's murder caseA week-long preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson, the 23-year-old man charged with killing Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University at a Turning Point USA event last year, is scheduled to take place in court. In Charlie Kirk's murder case, this will be the most significant hearing to date.In a five-day preliminary hearing, prosecutors will present their case against Tyler Robinson. The judge will determine whether the matter will go to trial after it is finished. According to ABC News, Tyler could be sentenced to death if found guilty.Tyler Robinson was reportedly arrested on the night of September 11 following a massive manhunt. He fled the crime scene on September 10 and was arrested the next day after his parents recognized Robinson in the photos of murder suspect released by officials.Tyler’s boyfriend told police that he found a handwritten letter under the keyboard, according to Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray. The note allegedly read:"If you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry. I left the house this morning on a mission, and set an auto text."The attorney also said that Tyler allegedly sent one more text to his partner, in which he reportedly mentioned of Charlie Kirk,"I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out." the text read.On September 21 last year, Erika Kirk forgave the person accused of Charlie’s murder during his memorial service.
