Lil Durk is speaking out after being found not guilty in his federal murder-for-hire case.The Chicago rapper took to Instagram following the verdict to thank his family, legal team, and supporters for standing by him throughout the case. I feel all the love and positive energy.” View this post on Instagram Instagram PostThe rapper, whose real name is Durk Banks, was acquitted on all federal charges in the case involving an alleged 2022 plot targeting rapper Quando Rondo.The five charges against Lil Durk were conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, conspiracy to commit interstate stalking, interstate stalking involving a dangerous weapon and interstate stalking resulting in death.Prosecutors had accused Lil Durk of arranging an attack against Rondo, whose cousin Saviay’a Robinson was killed in the shooting.Lil Durk maintained his innocence throughout the trial. Freedom.”Lil Durk remains in custody despite not-guilty verdictWhile a federal jury in Los Angeles found him not guilty of all charges, Lil Durk remains in custody to face a separate federal racketeering (RICO) and firearms trial.Following his not-guilty verdict, Lil Durk’s attorney Brian Steel was swarmed outside the courthouse, where the rapper’s supporters called him “MVP” and “goat.”Rapper Young Thug, who was also represented by Steel during his grueling YSL RICO trial, was the one who connected Lil Durk to the famed defense attorney.
