Reality TV star Karen Derrico recently drew online attention after her former husband, actor-turned-businessman Deon Derrico, reportedly claimed that his ex-wife has lately been spending time with a man who allegedly engaged in unwanted physical contact with one of their daughters, which was inappropriate, according to TMZ.

As cited by TMZ, after raising child safety concerns in court documents, Deon Derrico, who shares fourteen children with Karen Derrico, reportedly claimed that he learnt from his daughter's journal, in which she mentioned that the man her mother has been spending time with touched her inappropriately when she was younger.

According to Us Weekly, Deon Derrico, who split from Karen in 2024, agreed following their divorce to pay more than $1100 every month in child support, while his ex-wife had to take care of the premiums for their children's medical insurance. However, according to TMZ, Karen Derrico was taken into custody in June 2026 after she reportedly threatened their children and Deon.

As cited by TMZ, while the legal battle in court is still ongoing, according to Us Weekly, Karen's lawyer, in a conversation with Oxygen in June 2026, said:

"The allegations are completely false. And we will prove they were completely fabricated by Mr. Derrico."

Acknowledging the situation back in June 2026, Deon Derrico told Us Weekly:

"I still love her as a mother of my children, but I do not like her at all. I don't like what she's done. I don't like how the children are involved, they're in the middle of it, and I'm forced to defend my position."

Amid their divorce in 2024, Karen and Deon Derrico opened up about their kids and said, "Their well-being is our priority"

According to Us Weekly, before Karen and Deon Derrico filed for divorce, they made a name for themselves by starring in the TLC reality TV series Doubling Down with the Derricos, released in 2020. However, after the news of their divorce became public, the Derricos, in June 2024, told the outlet:

"Together, we remain unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children. Their well-being is our priority. We thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the good of our family."
