A woman's performance of Queen's famous song Bohemian Rhapsody in Minionese at the Minions & Monsters premiere went viral on social media, leaving netizens and the audience both amused and amazed. The video took no time to go viral, with many fans praising the performer for recreating the rock classic in the fictional language that is spoken by the Minions. A user commented:

"Freddie Mercury would’ve been proud….somehow."

The viral incident occurred during the premiere of Minions & Monsters, the newest addition to Illumination's Despicable Me franchise, on June 28 at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.

Zoey Deutch, Jeff Bridges, Allison Janney, Bobby Moynihan, Jesse Eisenberg, Trey Parker, and Phil LaMarr star in the movie, while Pierre Coffin, the Minions' voice actor and director, was also in attendance. Minions & Monsters, the franchise's seventh feature, will be released in theaters on July 1.

During the premiere, four women performed for the attendees. One of them performed Queen's iconic Bohemian Rhapsody fully in Minionese, the fictional language spoken by the minions throughout the movie. Meanwhile, another performer performed Jackson 5's I’ll Be There and won. She was given a Golden Banana.

Minionese, often known as the Minion Language or Banana Language, is a fictional language developed by directors Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud. Rather than following an organized grammar, it combines words and sounds from a variety of languages, including English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog, Hindi, and others, as well as some Minions-specific expressions.
