Alabama-based King Snipe rapper-turned-music executive, Radric Delantic Davis, commonly known as Gucci Mane, was reportedly held at gunpoint and abducted on January 10, 2026, as per The Hollywood Reporter. The alleged abduction was carried out by the 26-year-old Memphis, Tennessee-based rapper, Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Denell Williams Jr.

The “Monday to Sunday” rapper, Pooh Shiesty, made Gucci Mane sign a document at gunpoint, releasing him from a recording contract with 1017 Records, which is owned by Mane. While there were two other individuals with Gucci Mane when the incident took place, there were eight other people with Shiesty who were there to back him up during the armed takeover.

The record producer-turned-rapper, Mane, was instructed to meet Pooh Shiesty at a recording studio in Dallas, Texas, under the pretense of discussing his contract with Mane's record company. As soon as Mane reached the studio, Pooh's men barged into the room, wwith one person standing at the door to prevent anyone from escaping.

Eight of the nine individuals involved in the armed takeover and kidnapping of Gucci Mane have been taken into custody on April 1, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, and Memphis, Tennessee. As per The Hollywood Reporter, US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould, released a statement which read:

"Nine defendants travelled to Dallas, Texas, to kidnap and rob victims who thought they were coming into town for a business meeting. Instead of discussing business in a civil matter, the defendants resorted to violence and intimidation to achieve their purported business objectives."

Pooh Shiesty and his men, including rapper Big30, allegedly robbed Gucci Mane and two other individuals who were with him of money, jewelry, and even luxury Rolex watches.
