Former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested for his involvement in misconduct in public office. The former Prince can no longer hold his royal titles, such as the Duke of York. Last year, he was also stripped of his title of Prince by Buckingham Palace. But these are not the only titles and roles he had.

Prince Andrew's career
Prince Andrew, whose full name is Andrew Albert Christian Edward Mountbatten-Windsor, was given the title of Prince through birth as the third child of the late Queen Elizabeth II, making him eighth in line for the throne, and the title of Duke of York through his marriage in 1986. He has now been stripped of his military titles and royal patronages. Here are his former careers and titles.
Royal titles
Besides his princedom and the status of a Duke, he has also given up the titles of Baron of Killyleagh and Earl of Inverness. Along with that, he has also given up membership of the Order of the Garter. From 2022, Andrew can no longer use his title of His Royal Highness.
Patronage
Being a royal led to Prince Andrew having a patronage of about 200 charities and organizations, as the duty of a patron is to bring public awareness regarding a cause or service.
However, in 2019, these organizations, such as the English National Ballet, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Outward Bound Trust, and more, cut ties with him as his controversy came out, where he denied allegations that he had s*x with Ms Giuffre.
Though he was left with other patronages such as prestigious golf clubs, schools, and cultural trusts, those were also later redistributed amongst the other royals by Queen Elizabeth II.
Military Titles
The former prince was also very heavily involved in the military. He had a 22-year-long Royal Navy career where he served as a helicopter pilot during the 1982 Falklands War.
When his military appointments were suspended in 2019 after stepping back from public duties, he also lost the titles of colonel of the Grenadier Guards, honorary air commodore of RAF Lossiemouth, and colonel-in-chief of the Royal Irish Regiment.
Additional roles
Prince Andrew had also served for 10 years as the UK's special representative for trade and investment. His working Royal role lasted from 2011 to 2019.
Why was Prince Andrew arrested?
The former Prince was arrested on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office. According to the official police statement,
"As part of the investigation, we have today (19/2) arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk," adding, "Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office."
He was previously accused of s*xual abuse of a minor, but the case had reached an out-of-court settlement in 2022.
