On August 4, Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez responded to fat-shamers with new Instagram post. She shared her bikini selfie and other photos embracing her body with a long message.

Georgina agreed that her body will ‘change’ like other women. She wrote:

“My body will change, as all women’s bodies do. And I hope it continues to do so for many years, because that will mean I’m still alive.”

She further talked about being mother to six kids, three of which are girls. CR7’s fiancée also praised him and his values as a father and her partner. Georgina Rodriguez emphasized that someone’s worth cannot be determined with their physical appearance. She wrote:

“I’m the mother of six wonderful children, three of whom are girls who will one day be great women. And if there’s one thing I want to teach them—along with Cris [in reference to Ronaldo], whom I’m deeply proud of for the values he embodies as a father and as a man—it’s that a person’s worth can never depend on their physical appearance or the opinions of strangers.”

Georgina mentioned that she has noticed a range of online comments about her body. While some offer opinions, others defend her. She later wrote about her conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo about the online criticism she faced for her body. When she shared that people called her fat online, Ronaldo responded by saying:

"And he answered me: "You don't live by your image. You live from what you are. A perfect woman. Beautiful, with a great body, mother, good person, successful and who lives life with love. What else do you want? It's normal that they envy you. And we talk about many more things. Sometimes we all need someone to remind us of what really matters.”

Georgina Rodriguez wrote that she faces such criticism every summer when her body make headlines. She asked who decides the standard of a body.

“And then I wonder... where is the standard? Who decides which is the body? "Correct"? Do we really still think that happiness has a size? I train because it makes me happy. Because I'm passionate.” Georgina added.

Georgina Rodriguez trains every day at the gym because she is passionate about it. It gives her health, peace of mind, energy, and discipline. She added:

“It has never been a struggle to lose weight; it has always been a way to take care of myself.”

Lastly, she said that she loves her body and curves.

“I love my curves. I love the freedom to live in the body I choose. In the body that supports me, that has allowed me to embrace, create life, fall and get up again. A body that deserves respect, love and gratitude in all its versions.”
