With the American mid-term election approaching, according to The Atlantic, President Donald Trump will reportedly target and strike Iran after a few months of uneasy peace, as he took to his Truth Social platform on October 7, 2026, and called out Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, who is a Democrat.
Not only did Trump attack El-Sayed, but he also took a serious shot at Hasan Piker, a renowned social media influencer-turned-left-wing political commentator.
While the fighting between the US and Iran has temporarily come to a halt, according to reports by The Atlantic, Donald Trump, just in order to display strength and dominance, will possibly announce some kind of victory that will push the Republican Party and its supporters to jump-start and enter the mid-term elections with much-needed enthusiasm. The US mid-term elections are set to take place on November 3, 2026.
President Donald Trump took a shot at Abdul El-Sayed, who, besides being a politician, is also an epidemiologist, in his Truth Social post by calling him a horrible candidate and comparing him with his opponent, Mike Rogers, a Republican, referring to him as a great choice. Trump even went the distance to call Abdul El-Sayed a terrorist sympathizer. Donald Trump, in his Truth Social post, wrote:
"Mohammed El-Sayed is a terrible Candidate for the Dumocrats. While his opponent, Mike Rogers, is an extremely good one, Mohammed goes back to the days of the Jihad. He is a RADICAL Extremist, terrorist Sympathizer, and no different from his best friend American Hating Hasan Piker."
As Trump went ahead and took a dig at the values held by El-Sayed, noting how different they are from the values of the people of Michigan, he stressed that El-Sayed is not the right candidate and the people of Michigan should be voting for Mike Rogers. Donald Trump further added:
"Mohammed's Values are not exactly those of Michiganders, or those of our Great United States of America. He is WRONG for Michigan, and WRONG for America. VOTE FOR MIKE ROGERS. HE HAS MY COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT, AND WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP."
Donald Trump's use of El-Sayed's full name is a "political tactic"

While Donald Trump, in his recent Truth Social post, has addressed the Michigan Senate nominee as 'Mohammed El-Sayed', according to Newsweek, the Council on American-Islamic Relations has pointed out that President Trump has done the same earlier as well, considering it to be a "political tactic."
In August 2026, Trump shared a "Two VERY DIFFERENT America's" meme on his Truth Social platform, in which he mentioned his own full name and also mentioned El-Sayed's full name.
According to Newsweek, the executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Michigan, Dawud Walid, regarding Trump, said:
"He is intentionally saying his full name, Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, to say, 'Look, this guy is outside what we would consider to be a normative America.' It's a political tactic, and we've seen it before."
