Dana White has responded after Donald Trump offered the UFC CEO and president the White House press secretary role.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, the 57-year-old posted a photo on Instagram of himself standing behind the press secretary's lectern at the White House. He also accompanied the photo with the text:

“On to the next chapter.”

In another Story, Dana White shared a screenshot of Trump’s announcement, which he made via his Truth Social account.

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States.”

Trump had described White as the “Great Dana White” in his post announcing the offer.

He also asked the UFC executive to bring several fighters as assistants, including Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, and more.

“I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country."

Trump added:

“We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”

Dana White has been a longtime public supporter of Trump. During the president's 2016 campaign, he described Trump as a “fighter” who he believed would “fight for this country.”

Donald Trump’s former White House press secretaries

Karoline Leavitt was the POTUS’ White House press secretary from Jan. 20, 2025 to Aug. 27, 2026. She was the youngest-ever press secretary (starting at age 27) and the first to go on maternity leave.

Leavitt was then replaced by Katie Zacharia, but she only served as the press secretary for five days, from Oct. 12, 2026 to Oct. 16, 2026. Her 5-day tenure is the shortest in U.S. history.

Following her departure, Zacharia nevertheless continuously expressed her support for Trump. In a social media message, she thanked the president for hosting her family at the Oval Office.

“Thank you, President Trump, for hosting my family and me in the Oval Office and for the generous gifts you gave my children on my son’s birthday. It was an unforgettable honor.”

In another tweet, the former press secretary penned:

“Thank you, Mr. President! No one has been more relentlessly attacked by the media than President Trump, and I remain ruthlessly loyal.”

During Trump’s campaign rally in Southwest Florida, he praised Zacharia in his speech.

"No wonder that poor young woman — she was a perfect, beautiful woman — when she walked into that press room and they started screaming at her, she freaked out."

If Dana White officially accepts the role, he will be Trump’s third press secretary in the course of his presidency.
