Evangeline Lilly opened up about the costly treatments and targeted guidance she pursued to address her traumatic brain injury.

The Marvel star, 46, recently took to her Instagram page to dish on her healing, several months after her "freak" fainting incident and tumble onto a boulder that caused her severe concussion.

"I have spent a lot of money getting evaluated and getting targeted, expert advice on how to heal my brain."

She also added in her caption:

"Not everyone can afford to do this. This advice was for me specifically and may not be the exact right path for everyone. I am not a doctor nor an authority on any of this. But in the absence of affordable medical care in this country, I am sharing some of the advice give[n] to me."

In the video, Evangeline Lilly detailed her recovery process through a supplement regimen, which she claims helps her "remedy the deficiencies in my brain at the moment."

"This is obviously a lot of supplements, and I, as a general note about supplements, I don't take supplements on a daily basis. I take them on an as-needed basis, so I will be on these supplements for a period of time that I deem appropriate."

Amidst her healing, Evangeline Lilly reflected on her fortuitous position as someone who can address her bodily health issues despite the costs.

"I consider myself one of the extraordinarily fortunate people in this country who can take care of my body the way that it needs to be taken care of without money getting in the way of that. And so I want to share what I am learning from them in case any of you out there are also experiencing repercussions from a TBI, a concussion, and want to attend to your brain but don’t know how to."

What happened to Evangeline Lilly?

The Avengers: Endgame actress sustained "brain damage from the TBI" after falling face-first on a rock on a beach in Hawaii in May 2025. At the time, she detailed the incident through a lengthy essay on her Substack post, titled "I Fainted At The Beach."

"I pull my face from the sand and take a breath. My mouth and nose are full of blood. My partner says that when I black out, I look like I die. He gets very afraid. My eyes roll back in my head and all life leaves my body."

In early January 2026, Evangeline Lilly shared her pursuit of "fixing" her condition, sharing:

"But now my job is to get to the bottom of that with doctors and then embark on the hard work of fixing it, which I don't look forward to because I feel like hard work is all I do."

The MCU star continued:

"But that's OK. My cognitive decline since I smashed my face open has helped me slow down and helped me to have a more restful finish to my 2025. That’s a good thing."
