Gracie Hunt is engaged to Derek Green, nearly a year after the couple first made their relationship public on social media.

The 27-year-old, daughter of Clark Hunt, shared images of the proposal on Instagram on Apr. 4, showing Derek Green, 26, getting down on one knee on a wooden deck adorned with white candles and flowers.

Gracie Hunt, who works in brand development and marketing for the Kansas City Chiefs, wore a white floor-length dress as she accepted the proposal.

The post included a close-up of Derek Hunt's engagement ring, featuring an emerald-cut center stone flanked by diamonds along the band. She captioned the announcement:

"It was always you."

Derek Green then commented:

"FOREVER AND EVER"

Derek Green is the son of Trent Green, an NFL player who played for five seasons out of 15 with the Chiefs.

In another post, Gracie Hunt expressed joy at the engagement in the caption of her picture featuring her boyfriend.

"He is Risen. Thank You, Jesus — for salvation, for love, and for this beautiful chapter You’ve written for us. You painted the purest picture of love the world has ever seen, and today we celebrate that gift. Congratulations are also in order on the Stories as Gracie Hunt's mother, Tavia, took to social media to announce:

"We're getting another son!"

Gracie's sister, Ava, wrote in her Stories:

"My sister is engaged!"

Knobel, their brother, expressed his affection to Gracie by leaving a trail of heart and hands-up emojis.

Gracie Hunt and Derek Green's relationship: A quick timeline

Gracie Hunt and Derek Green have known each other since childhood, and reconnected in 2017.

It was only in May 2025 that the pair went public with their relationship, and the two have been inseparable since then. At the time, Gracie Hunt took to her Instagram to confirm their romance with a carousel of photos, several of which show her holding hands with Green.

"My heart is full. Grateful for some much-needed time to rest, reflect, and reset after a whirlwind few months post-football season. So thankful for time with the people who keep me grounded, remind me I'm loved, and never fail to make me laugh."

Before dating Green, Hunt was with Cody Keith, whom she dated for a few months. He was a college football quarterback and now works as a real estate broker.

However, after they reportedly started dating in September 2024, the pair called it quits in January 2025.

The reason for their split wasn't revealed, although when April rolled around, Hunt began hinting at a new relationship, which would later be identified as Derek Green. She teased:

"After meeting 7.5 years ago in this place... all along there was some invisible string."
