Jim Carrey has tied the knot for the third time. The sixty-four-year-old comedian recently wed Min Ah, an actress and artist, in a small private ceremony held in Los Angeles, as per a report shared by Los Angeles Times. This is Carrey's third marriage.
He was first wed to Melissa Womer, a former actress he met while she worked at the Comedy Store, from 1987 to 1995. The two share a daughter, Jane Erin Carrey. That being said, Carrey then went on to marry his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly in 1996, though the union lasted less than a year. Outside of marriage, Carrey also had romances with singer Linda Ronstadt, Oscar winner Renée Zellweger, and actor-model Jenny McCarthy.
Carrey and Min Ah were first spotted together back in 2022, though neither spoke publicly about the relationship for some time. Their first official appearance as a couple came at the 51st César Awards in Paris this past February, where The Mask star accepted an Honorary César for his career in film, delivering his entire speech in French.
"Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah. I love you, Min Ah," he said
Jim Carrey also thanked his daughter Jane and grandson Jackson.
Melissa Womer reportedly gave Jim Carrey an ultimatum before their messy divorce:

Carrey met Melissa Womer at The Comedy Store, where she worked as a cocktail waitress and aspiring actress while he performed stand-up. They married on March 28, 1987, welcoming daughter Jane just six months later. At the time, he was making just twenty-five dollars a night on stage. Womer reportedly held two jobs to keep things going while he concentrated on his career.
Things shifted when Carrey joined the cast of sketch comedy show In Living Color, which ran from 1990 to 1994, and then landed his first leading film role in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. As per a report shared by Rolling Stone, Womer later revealed that when he returned from filming in Florida, he was not the same man she had married. She reportedly gave him a direct ultimatum, telling him,
"You must come home and put your feet back on the ground and take your garbage out like everyone else, or I can't be married to you. And basically, he called my bluff."
She also told Rolling Stone that
"The day he first walked on that set as Mr. Carrey, he decided he wanted to enjoy success from the perspective of a single man."
As per a report shared by New York Daily News, Womer said she was completely blindsided by the split, adding that things had been going well right up until he left for that shoot. He reportedly broke the news to her over the phone while she bathed their daughter, then moved into his own apartment.
Jim Carrey filed for divorce in November 1994. A contentious court battle followed over the separation date, which allegedly mattered because of the lucrative Ace Ventura and The Mask contracts signed during that window. As per a report shared by Rolling Stone, Womer placed their separation in November 1993, while Carrey reportedly claimed June 15, 1993.
The matter settled privately, with the divorce finalised in 1995. Womer returned to court in 2003, reportedly contending that the $10,000 a month in child support was no longer enough. That too was settled privately.
How Lauren Holly went from auditioning for Jim Carrey to marrying him:

Holly and Jim Carrey first crossed paths when she auditioned for the female lead role in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. She reportedly turned down the role after auditioning. Not long after, Carrey reportedly put her name forward for Dumb and Dumber, and she landed the role of Mary Swanson opposite him. That set was where things got personal.
The timing, though, came with complications. Jim Carrey was still in the middle of divorce proceedings with Melissa Womer when the two grew close, and the tabloids were quick to brand Holly a homewrecker. As per a report shared by Rolling Stone, Holly addressed those claims directly in 1995, saying,
"They keep calling me a homewrecker. I feel for Melissa, but they were completely apart when Jim and I met."
That being said, Womer reportedly added fuel to the rumours. As per a report shared by Rolling Stone, she claimed that when she went to surprise Jim Carrey, she found an intimate group in his room that included Holly, who left shortly after Womer arrived.
The couple wed on September 23, 1996. Nine months later, Holly filed for divorce on July 29, 1997, citing irreconcilable differences. The relentless media scrutiny they faced throughout, which at one point reportedly saw paparazzi living beneath the tennis court at their home to photograph them inside, was among the pressures that weighed on the marriage.
Years later, Holly reflected on the relationship without bitterness when she told podcast host Sophia Bush that
"We were both, you know, growing exponentially, and I think we helped each other."
