Legendary rockstar and Rolling Stones frontman, Mick Jagger, is engaged to 38-year old Melanie Hamrick. The former American Ballet Theatre ballerina recently disclosed that she was left terrified and devastated after being "physically attacked" outside a private members' club in London.
On February 10, Hamrick claimed in a since-deleted Instagram Stories post that she was attacked outside Annabel's, a Mayfair exclusive members' club. She wrote:
“This is incredibly hard to share - but I was physically attacked at @annabelsmayfair tonight. I’m so thankful to my friends for protecting me."
Hamrick continued:
“Two people grabbed me from behind and thank god for good people who stepped in to help me. I’m shaken, sad and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way.”
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police had confirmed they were aware of the alleged assault through the Instagram story and were encouraging the victim to report the incident formally:
“We are aware of an Instagram story alleging an assault in Mayfair on Tuesday 10 February, and encourage the victim to report this to us."
The statement continued:
“The Met is committed to tackling crime in the West End, including violence against women and girls, and [recognize] the traumatic impact incidents of this nature can have on victims."
Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick

The legendary rockstar and Rolling Stones frontman has been dating Hamrick since 2014. Mick Jagger met her while he was touring with The Rolling Stones, and she was travelling with the American Ballet Theatre in Japan.
The two share a son, Deveraux, who was born in 2016. Hamrick put an end to rumors that she and Mick Jagger were dating by confirming in April 2025 that they had been engaged for "two or three years."
The couple rarely shares any photos or updates. They prefer to keep their lives private.
After a 15-year career, Hamrick retired from the American Ballet Theatre in 2019. She has since turned her attention to writing and raising a family. In addition to writing two novels set in the dance industry, she is now working on a contemporary adaptation of "Giselle." In an interview with Page Six, she spoke about her new work:
“It’s a little different than the first two so it’s going to take me a little time but it’s a modern retelling of ‘Giselle.’ It’s a big undertaking.”
She answered when asked if fans could expect some smut:
“Of course. I’m not going to go away from my roots because it’s so much fun, but it’s not going to be as heavy, ‘soft-porny,’ as you said. I want to slowly venture into more storytelling.”
Hamrick's account comes after increased talk about safety in areas of central London, such as Knightsbridge and Mayfair, where robberies and high-value thefts have taken place, which even made Tom Cruise vacate his £35million Knightsbridge penthouse.
