Nick Pasqual, the actor known for his work on How I Met Your Mother, has made multiple headlines recently. As per a report shared by ABC7, Pasqual has been convicted of trying to kill his estranged girlfriend, following a stabbing that occurred at her Sunland residence in 2024.

According to his profile on IMDb, Nick Pasqual was born on April 12, 1990. The thirty-six-year-old was found guilty on multiple counts, including first-degree residential burglary with person present and injuring a partner. His situation has left him facing life in state prison.

Nick Pasqual's ex-girlfriend, Hollywood make-up artist Allie Shehorn, testified in court. She appeared with scarring still visible on her neck and arm. Shehorn described a physical confrontation with Pasqual before their split.

"I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open, and I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there's another lock on that door," she said.

Allie Shehorn was due on a film set the morning Nick Pasqual allegedly attacked her:

A report shared by the Los Angeles Times back in May 2024 details the circumstances surrounding the attack. When Shehorn didn't show up for her call time, the rest of the cast grew concerned. Shehorn, who had worked as a make-up artist on productions like Rebel Moon, Family Switch and Babylon, was not the type to go missing without word. May 23 was meant to be the first day of shooting on an indie short horror film out in the California high desert.

She never made it.

As per the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office says Shehorn was stabbed multiple times at her Shadow Hills home just before 4:30 a.m. that same morning. Prosecutors allege Pasqual forced his way into her residence, went after her with a knife, and left the state before the sun had fully come up. He was stopped by authorities at a border stop in Sierra Blanca, Texas later that day, the district attorney's office confirmed.

Shehorn's friends speak out, as details of the attack emerged:

As per the Los Angeles Times, Shehorn had sought a restraining order against Pasqual for domestic abuse in the days before the attack. A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge signed off on it, though whether Pasqual was ever actually served with it before that morning remains unclear.

Christine White, a friend who had been staying with Shehorn, came across her badly wounded at the house. Friends believe Shehorn was stabbed upwards of twenty times. White, who considers Shehorn a surrogate daughter, did what she could in those first moments.

"I just told her to keep her hand on her throat to stop the bleeding," said White.

Shehorn was rushed into emergency surgery and spent days in intensive care after the attack. Her friend and fellow make-up artist Jed Dornoff set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the medical costs and shared images of Shehorn in the hospital, her hands wrapped in bandages. For several days she couldn't use her fingers at all, which worried those close to her about her ability to continue her work.

"I'm sad that all of this happened... He cut her hands and tendons," Dornoff said.
"Who does that?" Dornoff added.

Dornoff was glad charges were brought but couldn't make sense of the attack. He recalls that Shehorn and Pasqual had first crossed paths on the set of Rebel Moon, where Nick Pasqual worked as a background actor.

"She's not used to being in the spotlight," Dornoff said.
"She's undergoing this tragedy and now she just has so much attention paid to her," Dornoff added.

Actor Tina Vonn was among those waiting at the film shoot that morning when Shehorn never arrived. Nick Pasqual had at one point been attached to that same production, but was removed once the restraining order was filed. Tina Vonn also spoke about Nick Pasqual's attack.

"It was pretty horrific," Vonn shared.
"Allie did everything the right way. She got a restraining order," Tina added.

What Shehorn's restraining order revealed about Nick Pasqual:

As per the Los Angeles Times, the restraining order Shehorn filed detailed an incident in which Pasqual went after her at the Sun Valley property where the two had been living together, prior to May 23. In the court document, Shehorn described his behaviour.

"He started yelling and screaming at me, which happens when he's been under the influence," Shehorn said.

Shehorn alleged that as she tried to leave, Pasqual struck her across the face and yanked her hair from behind, and the back of her head hit the floor hard. She retreated to her roommate's room, but Nick Pasqual attempted to force that door open too. According to court documents, he had already put through two other doors on previous occasions.

The moment she opened the door, Nick Pasqual drove it back into her, sending her to the floor, and drove the door into her head more than once as she lay there, according to the Los Angeles Times. Shehorn also alleged in the restraining order that he had sexually assaulted her and had been physically violent on multiple other occasions earlier that year.

The court granted Shehorn's request. Nick Pasqual was ordered to maintain a distance of at least three hundred feet from Shehorn at all times, covering her home, her workplace, her vehicle and her pet Husky.
