How old is Zayn Malik’s daughter? Pillowtalk singer reveals he was ‘never’ in love with Gigi Hadid but respects her for having his child

Zayn Malik candidly talks about his past relationship with model Gigi Hadid.

On a new episode of the popular podcast, Call Her Daddy by Alex Cooper, Zayn Malik described his relationship with Gigi as not love but lust. He expressed,

"My understanding of love is always developing. At that moment in time, I might have thought it was love, but as I got older, I realized maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was lust. I will always love G, because she's the reason my child is on this Earth, and I have the utmost respect for her. I will always love her, but I don't know if I was ever in love with her.”

Explaining that maybe because he was young, he couldn't quite grasp the concept of love. The two dated on and off from 2015 to 2021 until they broke up due to an alleged altercation with Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid. The couple also shared a daughter, Khai, who is 5 years old.

Further talking about their relationship, he stated, "I don’t feel like it was love, I will always love her, but I don't know if I was ever in love with her."

However, the singer who just did a 7-day residency in Las Vegas talked about how if he had actually been in love, he might have been a "better version," hinting at things he may have done in relationships that weren't quite right.

“[I] tend to get in trouble in relationships, too, ‘cause I was young and did certain things,” Malik told Cooper. “[I] spoke to other females when I shouldn't have been, as most people do. You live and learn from it.”

While Zayn Malik has been single since then and considers his singledom freeing, Gigi has been dating actor Bradley Cooper since 2023, making their relationship Instagram official last year.
