On October 15, Candace Owens reacted after President Trump ruled out live-streaming of Nidal Hasan’s execution. Earlier in the day, the POTUS announced that Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan’s execution by firing squad won’t be live-streamed. This decision came after massive criticism worldwide.

Candace Owens seemed shocked about why Hasan’s execution was even being considered for livestreaming. In her X post, the political commentator called this idea ‘Bolshevik-coded.’ She wrote:

“This entire argument was so Bolshevik-coded. I can’t even believe it was even being considered. People were generally excited by the idea of watching someone be killed. We went from a civilized debate regarding whether or not the death penalty is appropriate to people clamoring to watch state snuff p**n.”

The attacker is slated to be executed by firing squad on December 3. CNN reported that the president called off the livestream after he learned that the accused is paralyzed from the waist down.

Trump called off livestream for Nidal Hasan’s execution

The president shared a Truth Social post saying that the former US Major is a ‘bad’ and ‘evil’ man who killed 13 people and injured many others in the Fort Hood attack. The POTUS wrote:

“Nidal Malik Hasan, a former U.S. Army Major turned traitor, is a very bad and evil man who killed 13 people, including a pregnant soldier, who died, along with her unborn son, and injured, very seriously, 32 more innocent people. Barack Hussein Obama's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intercepted electronic communications between Hasan and the radical Yemeni-American cleric, Anwar al-Awlaki. When reviewed by his FBI terrorism task force, investigators concluded that Hasan's emails were not a threat. This assessment of the Obama Administration's actions was later considered to be a key intelligence failure.”

Trump went on to say that Nidal Hasan will be executed on the set date, but not on livestream. He added that only immediate families of shooting victims will be allowed if they agree to see it.

“With all of that being said, I think streaming the execution for all to see might have been a strong deterrent for the World to witness how America deals with Terrorists and S**M like Hasan, but many very good and well-meaning people would rather not watch him die, through streaming, or through any other visual device. He will die, as scheduled, by firing squad, but this event will not be streamed. That said, the execution may be viewed in person by the immediate families of the victims, if they so choose.”

The US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, openly supported the idea of live-streaming Hasan’s execution.

For those unaware, Nidal Hasan was convicted in August 2013 by a military court-martial of 13 murders and injuring 32 people. As per BBC, the accused carried out the 'deadliest' non-combat attack on a US military base when he opened fire in a crowded medical building where soldiers waited for their immunizations ahead of their deployment in November 2009. Hasan said that he tried to protect fellow Muslims in Afghanistan from the US military.
