On October 20, Bernie Sanders took aim at President Trump after he announced a new ‘fraud whistleblower incentive program.’ Earlier in the day, the president unveiled his new program in the Oval Office, introducing a federal incentive of up to $30,000 for fraud tips leading to charges, alongside a 1% commission on the recovered funds.

While speaking to the reporters, the POTUS said that Americans will now be able to report cases of corruption and theft of taxpayer money in their communities through fraud.gov. Donald Trump said:

"All Americans will now be able to go to fraud.gov and report cases of corruption and theft of taxpayer dollars in their communities ... if you turn somebody in and you find $1 billion, we're giving a commission of 1%. That's a lot of money"

The US Senator Bernie Sanders reacted to Trump’s new program and said he would like to report a theft. He seemingly referred to the president while mentioning a man for alleged illegal spending of taxpayer money on ‘bogus’ campaign ads. He claimed that the president spent around $22M in taxpayer dollars. In his X post, Bernie Sanders said:

“That’s great, Mr. Trump. I’d like to report a theft. A man inside our government illegally spent nearly $22 million in taxpayer dollars on bogus campaign ads praising himself. He now resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Taxpayers want to know when they’ll get their money back.”

For those unaware, the POTUS is currently busy with his midterm campaign rallies.

Trump said Ilhan Omar would ‘go to jail’ during media interaction

In addition to his new incentive program, the president also commented on Ilhan Omar, whose house was recently raided by the federal government. While answering the string of reporters, the president said that the Minnesota Rep. is a sick and dishonest person. He claimed that Omar hates the US as she hails from Somalia. He said:

“I think she's a sick, very dishonest person who hates our country — and she comes from a country that is essentially not even a country, Somalia. It's a real s**thouse.”

Ilhan Omar's house was raided by Homeland Security Investigation agents on October 12.

During his interaction, the POTUS even warned one of the reporters, named Andrew Feinberg, for his alleged misbehaviour in the Oval Office.
