Rapper and music executive Rick Ross shared his thoughts about Pooh Shiesty’s arrest in connection with the alleged robbery and kidnapping of Gucci Mane. Taking to his Instagram stories on April 3, Ross posted a self-recorded video in which he said:“I am on a Europe tour. Like I said, I am in Prague, going back to Paris tonight, but for everybody in my DM […], what you think about the Guwop-Pooh Shiesty situation. I don’t like it for either side. You know what I am talking about, Guwop most definitely didn’t deserve and I don’t want to see this for the little homie, Pooh Shiesty.”Rick Ross went on to say:“But this one ni**a’s got to be educated and understand. In business, you got to negotiate, my ni**a. You got to negotiate. If you were signed for $100K and now you got $10Ms on the table, it's time to negotiate. That’s how we do this. Boom boom boom boom boom. Everybody win. Let’s go. That's how it got to go, my ni**a.”Ross mentioned that one cannot “muscle their way” in business. Despite that, one cannot run away, and the best way to deal with it is to educate oneself. As per reports, Shiesty held Gucci Mane at gunpoint in Dallas on January 10. This was an attempt to force Mane to release Pooh Shiesty from the 1017 Records contract. Not only that, but other members of Shiesty’s gang even robbed people of jewellery and watches.Ryan Raybould explains how Pooh Shiesty’s alleged heist was executedDuring a press conference, US Attorney Ryan Raybould explained that the complaint said three music industry professionals went to Dallas on January 10 for a business meeting. Lontrell Williams Jr., or Pooh Shiesty, had set up the meeting to talk about a recording contract. However, once they were inside the studio, Williams Jr. and several others, some of whom came from Memphis, allegedly carried out a planned armed takeover. He was said to have used a weapon to threaten one of the victims and forced him to sign a release from the contract. Raybould also mentioned:“The remaining conspirators displayed firearms, and robbed the other victims of Rolex watches, jewelry, cash, and other high-value items. One of the victims was actually choked by one of the defendants to the point of near unconsciousness.”Mentioning Pooh Shiesty’s home confinement, Raybould said:“The ringleader of the conspiracy, Lontrell Williams Jr., was on home confinement at the time of the offense was on home confinement at the time of the offense as alleged for a prior firearms conspiracy charge in conviction out of the Southern District of Florida. Towards the end of his prison sentence, he had been granted home detention.”According to Raybould, an important condition of the home confinement was that Shiesty should not commit another federal offense and not possess any firearm. His father helped him execute the plan. Following the alleged robbery, some members even posted photos of the items on social media.
