Following her recent DUI arrest, Ryan Edwards' wife, Amanda Conner, has spoken out, disclosing that she relapsed after three years of recovery. In an emotional TikTok video posted on May 27, the Teen Mom star acknowledged feeling "disappointed," "guilty," and "scared" after the incident that resulted in numerous charges in Tennessee. She said:“I’m disappointed, I feel guilty, scared.”Conner addressed the controversy in a TikTok video posted days after her arrest, openly discussing about relapsing after years of recovery:“I relapsed. After three years of me busting my ass and getting my life together, I relapsed. I think I got too comfortable, let my guard down and it happened.”She added:“I do know addiction does not care how long you’ve been clean, how much you’ve built, it doesn’t care how many people believed in you, it doesn’t care about none of that.”The 35-year-old expressed regret to family members and supporters who had faith in her recovery:“You all ride so hard for me and I appreciate the f** out of that. I have let you all down and I’ve let my family down. Just saying that out loud, just letting it be known, it’s just so uncomfortable, it’s shameful, I’m disappointed, I feel guilty, scared. I’m not perfect. I’ve never come to be perfect.”Conner went on to talk about how “life happened” and how she “fell hard.” She stated that this will not define her:“I’m going to bring you all on my journey to recovery. And it’s not going to be fun, it’s not going to be pretty, it’s going to be real, it’s going to be raw and it’s going to be hard. But, like I said, I’m a fighter and I refuse to let a relapse define me or be my story.”Conner concluded:“It’s not going to be polished, it’s going to be authentic, real and what happens in my life when you relapse and do stupid s***, there’s consequence. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, abusing/neglecting children, and driving on the wrong side of the road, according to TMZ and PEOPLE.According to dispatch audio that TMZ was able to get, a husband (Ryan Edwards) had called the police because he thought his wife had driven off with "their baby" while intoxicated. Although Conner was subsequently recognized as the person arrested, the name of the child was not mentioned in the audio.According to reports, authorities issued a no-contact order with the alleged child victim or the person who is temporarily overseeing the child until at least her court hearing on June 3 and set her bond at $16,000.Conner has acknowledged that she is now facing the consequences of her actions.
