“I swear all the best souls are Canadian”: Internet praises Brendan Fraser for helping fan take a picture during Pressure premiere 

Actor Brendan Fraser is being applauded online for his gesture at a recent European premiere of his war drama film Pressure at Leicester Square in London, U.K.

In the viral video, Fraser, 57, can be seen acknowledging a fan’s request for a photograph. However, when the fan appeared to struggle clicking the picture, the actor asked him to hand him over his phone and taught him how to take a photo.

The moment is now winning hearts online. Threads user @withbloodandthunder wrote in the comment section of @londonbeautifullife’s post:

“I swear all the best souls are Canadian.”

Brendan Fraser, who was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, has dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship.

Many social media users shared similar reactions on X.

“Brendan Fraser teaching a fan how to use his phone to take a photo. It’s impossible not to love this guy,” a user stated.

Besides his acting career, Brendan Fraser is known for his philanthropy. Since 2018, he has been a celebrity judge on the Dancing Stars of Greenwich annual charity gala. It raises money for the nonprofit Abilis that supports individuals with disabilities and their families in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Brendan Fraser was cast as Dwight D. Eisenhower in the film Pressure in July 2024. While Eisenhower became the USA’s 34th President between 1953 and 1961, he was an Army General during the Second World War and led the Allied Expeditionary Force in Operation Torch in North Africa and Operation Overlord on D-Day in Normandy as the commander.

In 2014, English actor and playwright David Haig wrote a play called Pressure based on Operation Overlord, starring Andrew Scott as Scottish meteorologist and RAF Group Captain James Stagg.

The 2026 film is an adaptation of the play and also has Kerry Condon, Damian Lewis, and Chris Messina in pivotal roles. Andrew Scott has also reprised his role. It is directed and edited by Anthony Maras and co-written by Maras and Haig.

The plot revolves around Stagg, who must provide General Eisenhower with a weather report ahead of D-Day.

Pressure has the subtitle “The Untold True Story of D-Day” and has the tagline “One Decision Changed History.” The film is produced by Working Title Films. It was released in the USA on May 29 and is set to hit theaters worldwide on September 9.

According to ITN, the cast, including Brendan Fraser, greeted fans on the blue carpet of the European premiere. Meanwhile, Anthony Maras and composer Volker Bertelmann told reporters when they have been under the most pressure at work.
