On October 23, Ilhan Omar responded to Trump’s new social media post calling for her immediate resignation. The POTUS claimed that Ilhan used a ‘fake name’ to be sworn into Congress. Trump’s accusations came after the recent court filings revealed her new birth name, ‘Ilhan Nur Said Elmi,’ amid the ongoing investigation.The president further alleged that Ilhan married and had children with her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. In his Truth Social post, the president wrote:“It was just revealed that Ilhan Omar's name is not Ilhan Omar, the one she used to get elected and sworn into Congress, but rather, it's an entirely different name, Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, and that her last name is, incredibly, also the exact name of her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the person they said she married and had children with.”Trump further highlighted what Ilhan Omar said in her recent interview when asked about accusations of marrying her brother. He also demanded her resignation as she allegedly swore in with the wrong name. He wrote:“When asked whether or not she married her brother, she said, 'Not to my knowledge.' In other words, she somehow didn't know? Therefore, because she used a fake name to be sworn in, I assume she must IMMEDIATELY resign from Congress.”Lastly, he wrote that Ilhan has admitted to ‘fraud.’“Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, her real name, has openly admitted to FRAUD, and she will not be legally allowed to be a Member of this August Body from this point forth,” Trump wrote.Ilhan Omar responded to the president's post, saying that his party is ‘laundering’ right-wing conspiracy theories. She also called DOJ ‘corrupt.’ Lastly, the Minnesota Rep. clarified that her name has always been Ilhan Omar. She wrote:“The p*dophile protection party’s president is laundering right-wing conspiracy theories through the most corrupt DOJ in American history. Whenever the news turns bad, this creep reaches for one name: mine. So let’s make it crystal clear. My name has always been Ilhan Omar. Maybe you should focus on what your VP’s real name is.”Trump’s administration raided Ilhan Omar’s houseEarlier, on October 12, Omar’s house was raided by the federal government amid her links to illegal immigration fraud. As per DOJ, this raid was conducted under a ‘judicially authorized search warrant.’Ilhan accused the Trump administration of targeting their ‘political enemies’ by weaponizing ‘federal law enforcement.’Most recently, she also addressed the accusations about her marriage during her interview with MSNBC. Omar said she doesn’t know who people are talking about when they say she married her brother.
