Matt Walsh has shared his thoughts on Corie Walsh's husband, Michael, supporting her after she allegedly hanged one of their four kids. The podcaster said that Michael Walsh should not support her and that she should face consequences. Corie Walsh has been charged with three counts of murder, and she pleaded not guilty during her appearance in court on Thursday, September 24. The 40-year-old has been accused of hanging her two-year-old son, Barrett Walsh, to death on September 1. Her defense team claims she was allegedly in a state of psychosis during the incident.During her court appearance on Thursday, her family members, including her husband, Michael, were also in the courtroom. According to NBC5 Chicago, her attorney, Andrea Lyon, spoke to the media and said:"Her husband, her mother, her mother's best friend, a cousin and uncle -- they all support her. They all know this is not about who she is."Political commentator and podcaster Matt Walsh has urged Michael Walsh not to support his wife. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday:"I try to extend a lot of grace to people who’ve suffered unthinkably horrific tragedies but I have to say I’m really getting sick of these husbands being “supportive” of the women who viciously murder their children. You should not support her. You should want her to suffer the most severe consequences for what she’s done. That is justice. They saw their two-year-old brother, Barrett Walsh, hanging from a device with his feet above the ground. They ran to their neighbors for help.The neighbor arrived and brought Walsh down. They tried to do CPR on him, but he was later declared dead due to asphyxiation. Meanwhile, the authorities found Corie in a bloodied bathtub with injuries on her body. Moreover, their fourth child, an infant, was found unattended in another room.According to NBC 5 Chicago, Corie allegedly told the authorities that she killed Barrett because he was a "devil" and "anti-Christ". She also allegedly told them that she was planning to poison her husband, who was out of town at the time.However, she has now pleaded not guilty to the murder charges. Her attorney Andrea Lyon said after Thursday's hearing:"They served us with an indictment charging Corie Walsh with three different counts under three different theories of first-degree murder. We are, as you might know from the last time, very concerned about her mental health and stability."Lyon and her team have alleged that Corie Walsh was psychotic during the entire incident. Hence, they claim that she should not be charged with first-degree murder.
