On June 30, Kathie Lee Gifford opened up about companionship while talking to PEOPLE. The 72-year-old TV presenter lost her husband, Frank Gifford, in 2015. She is currently single. In the latest interview, she revealed that she has no plans to date or get married, even after 11 years since her husband’s passing. She said that she is not interested in having a love life anymore.

"I am not dating anybody right now, and I don't want to date.” "I'm not looking, and I don't think I'll ever get married again." Kathie said.

She mentioned that she had a chance at a love life, but it didn’t work out for her.

"I had an opportunity for that to maybe happen, and it didn't work out," she continues.

Kathie Lee Gifford went on to remember her late husband and hoped for a ‘miraculous’ and ‘great’ love.

"Frank will always be the love of my life. If God wants to do something miraculous, like give me another great love [then I'm open to it]. And so I leave room for the miraculous to happen." Gifford added.

Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford married in 1986

For those unaware, Kathryn Lee Epstein, aka Kathie Lee Gifford, met Frank in the 1980s while hosting Good Morning America.

Frank Gifford was an NFL star, an actor, and a sports commentator. He passed away on August 9, 2015, following a massive heart attack in his Greenwich residence. Kathie tied the knot with Frank in 1986. The couple welcomed two kids together, son Cody and daughter Cassidy.

Although the couple’s marriage had many happy times, the singer remembered the time in the late 1990s when a tabloid followed her late husband to a hotel room and exposed his adultery. Kathie Lee Gifford eventually made the decision to sort things out with Frank after taking a short break from each other.

"I came home a week after that happened [to reconcile with Frank]," Kathryn said.

Further in the interview, she shared what happened on the day her partner died. She said that she found her husband when he had a heart attack. Kathie said:

"Cody was home from school, and we tried to resuscitate him,…. The EMT guys came, and they said, 'Mrs. Gifford, we just want you to know your husband, he never suffered. He never saw the ground he fell on.'"

Before Frank Gifford, Kathie was married to her first husband, Paul Johnson. They came together in 1976, and they parted ways in 1982.
