Political commentator Megyn Kelly shared her thoughts about German model Heidi Klum’s Grammy outfit. As seen in the photos from the day, Klum wore a latex dress that almost took her body’s shape. The media hub E! News shared the clip of Klum arriving at the award ceremony. The post was captioned:

“Heidi Klum knows how to make a fashion statement. #Grammys #AwardsSeason.”

Kelly reshared the post on X and wrote:

“Is the statement, “I look ridiculous?””

Klum had previously spoken about fashion. Speaking to The Times in 2024, she said that she never shied from her feminine side. She loved to dress up, even if that revealed some of her body parts. Heidi Klum said that despite what she wore, her outfit never signalled that she would like to go home with someone. She liked to maintain her boundaries.

In 2017, while speaking to Access Hollywood at the 19th Annual amfAR New York Gala, the host asked if she had a particular fashion memory that was close to her. She said:

“I mean they're all so special you know. It's always nerve-wracking, especially when you do it for the first time. I remember wearing Zach I did Zack Posen's show way back when I was very young and he was even younger. You know, obviously the Victoria Secret fashion show was always amazing to do.”

According to Heidi Klum, she did not do too many fashion shows because she thought she was “too curvy.” She mentioned that she did not even fit into many outfits.

Looking back at Heidi Klum’s advice for her daughter

In September 2025, Heidi Klum spoke to Nina Garcia of ELLE. She explained that when she worked with Victoria’s Secret, she often had to wait on the side and was initially given only a few outfits to model. She said the team wanted to see if the clothes sold well before giving her more photos to do. She usually waited until it was her turn to shoot.

Garcia said that there was a time when the modelling industry was a difficult space for women. When asked how she protected herself and her advice for new generations, Heidi Klum said:

“I also have two daughters. And you know, so I tell them and especially my oldest daughter she is now in the industry. She's been modeling for 5 years. I waited till she was 16. I told her when, you know, in the beginning I would accompany her and then later on I'm like I don't want to always be like the mom that's sitting there and like, you know, I think it's important at one point then they do this by themselves when she was old enough like at 18.”

Her advice to her daughter was that she never say yes to anything she did not like. Heidi Klum said she also had preferences, such as not doing a fur campaign or an alcohol campaign. She mentioned that she was always aware of her worth, and she would say no to anything she did not like.
