Actor Terrence Howard has shared his thoughts on the future of Hollywood due to AI (Artificial Intelligence). He said that the industry will die due to AI, adding that it is the end of an era.

AI usage has been a big point of debate in Hollywood in recent months. However, many people in the industry have backed AI and have also been using it in movies and shows. Some actors also own AI companies and use the technology to work on post-production.

TMZ spoke to Terrence Howard about the impact of AI on Hollywood on Tuesday, November 3. He said:

"Yeah, well, that's gonna die, I believe. I believe what's taken place with AI, you know, it's part of the future. Everyone is looking for some kind of more of an immediate kind of satisfaction. And you're not going to get that with film. You can't rush it, you don't really rush art. So if people just want a quick stimulus, then they're going to turn to AI."

People online have reacted to Terrence Howard's statement, as one X (formerly Twitter) user wrote:

The Hustle & Flow star referred to AI's impact on Hollywood as the end of silent films or the end of radio. He said that "something new is going to happen" after the death of Hollywood.

Referring to the sale of Ben Affleck's AI company, Terrence Howard added:

"But you saw what happened with Ben Affleck, just selling his company for $575 million, you know? That was an AI driven company that was made because they knew that change was around the corner. So you have to embrace it, and don't, you can't mourn it so much."

Ben Affleck formed InterPositive, an AI-driven company that worked on visual effects, among other things. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he sold it to Netflix earlier this year for $587 million.

Meanwhile, Terrence Howard added that all the studio work "is going towards the AI and the future." When asked if actors can do anything about it, Howard said that actors cannot "compete with inevitability". He urged actors to accept and embrace it.
