Per the insider:

“They share a deep affinity and love for one another, and though their romantic partnership is ending, they will absolutely be lifelong friends.”

Sources confirmed the pair's separation in July, after they began dating in 2021. At the time, reports described their relationship as rocky, though another source said they were still figuring things out.

Another insider also dismissed speculation about infidelity as the reason for their split, describing the rumors as “categorically untrue.”

“There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship.”

The former couple has kept separate public appearances in recent months. Qualley, known for The Substance, was notably absent from the New York City wedding of Jack Antonoff's longtime collaborator Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, which the musician attended.

Jack Antonoff on performing songs written for ex Margaret Qualley: “I’m going to risk at any moment”

Speaking to The Guardian, he confessed he had considered changing the band's setlist because of the circumstances surrounding the songs.

“Songs which I wrote recently, I obviously was really worried about this specific thing.”

He added that he ultimately decided to continue performing the material, explaining that he wanted to remain honest with his audience and stand by the feelings expressed in his music.

“I sat long and hard with it and thought, ‘If I change the setlist …’ and in my gut there was a unanimous jury that said, ‘No, this is the deal. The deal I’ve made with my audience is that I’m going to tell you honestly how I feel and I’m going to risk at any moment having to stand behind it for f****** ever.’”

For Jack Antonoff, he doesn’t feel ashamed about the “things I’ve said,” explaining that it would be “impossible to rewrite the past.”

“My life has been dedicated to making it impossible for me to rewrite the past, because I’m standing there, singing about how I felt during the good times, so when the bad times hit I can’t look myself in the mirror and pretend that those times didn’t exist.”

The former pair first met in 2021 at a rooftop party, then made their first red carpet appearance together in 2022 during the AFI Awards Luncheon.

That May, the Substance actress debuted a diamond ring at the Cannes Film Festival. Ultimately, it was confirmed they were engaged.

They tied the knot in August 2023. Their union was witnessed by their star-studded guests: Taylor Swift, Zoe Kravitz, Lana Del Rey, and many more.

Speculation about their breakup began when Jack Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding without the actress.
