With the 2026 US midterm elections around the corner, several American public figures and high-profile Hollywood celebrities, including the Safe Haven actor Josh Duhamel, have urged voters to exercise their right to vote and do so responsibly on November 3, 2026.

While Hollywood A-listers such as the Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey and the Poor Things actor Mark Ruffalo have directly addressed voters in their own ways to exercise their voting rights and to stand up for democracy, according to Fox News, the Transformers actor Josh Duhamel, 53, who was previously married to pop icon Fergie, took to his Instagram and shared a video on October 28, 2026, urging his fans and followers to vote in the midterm elections.

With Ransom Canyon's second season dropping in July 2026 on Netflix, Josh Duhamel, who has been married to model-turned-TV host Audra Mari since 2022, in his Instagram video also addressed the people of Minnesota, referring to the US state as "God's country," and reminded people about the midterms, requesting them to vote. In his Instagram video, Duhamel said:

"I just wanted to take a second to remind you that the midterms are coming up. This is such an important, such an important time. We have to get out there. We have to vote. Every single person."

Mentioning Minnesota as one of his favorite US states, Josh added:

"Minnesota is my second favorite state in the whole country, right behind North Dakota, but I absolutely love it there. It is God's country. It is worth saving. It is absolutely worth saving."

While expressing that he would not tell anyone who to vote for, stating how exercising the right to vote is every American's job and a sacred duty, the Shotgun Wedding star, Josh Duhamel, said:

"And it is a blessing that we get to get out there and pick who makes decisions for us. So please, everybody, let's get 100 percent turnout. Everybody, please, vote in this year's midterms. Go Viks! Woo!"

The caption of Duhamel's Instagram video read:

"Please share this with everyone you know!! Bring a group to the voting booths on Nov 3! Get off your bu*ts and VOTE."

While Josh Duhamel moved from California to Fargo, North Dakota, the Bandit actor also has a place in Minnesota, which he visits with his family when he wants to spend time under the radar. During a conversation with People in 2025, Duhamel talked about embracing the basics of day-to-day life and how important it is. Josh said:

"I learned that I'd spent too much time sort of luxuriating in the amenities of the modern world and getting out there and having to learn how to do some of the basics that I hadn't done for so long was really, really good."

He added:

"It's one of those places that I go to and I just, my blood pressure drops. I feel at peace. I'm constantly doing something, fixing something, working on something, taking care of the family, pulling the kids on a tube, cooking, all these things that are just basics that we take for granted."
