On October 3, The Sunday Times released an interview with Michael Douglas in which he shared an update on his relationship with Catherine Zeta-Jones. The Oscar-winning star gave an interview ahead of the release of his memoir, named One Helluva Ride, which came out on October 6.In his memoir, Michael reportedly opened up about his marriage, relationship, and brief separation from wife Catherine. For those unaware, the couple split in 2013, but they got back together within a year.When the interviewer touched upon his split with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Douglas said that he never gave up his hope of reconciliation. He said:“I never gave up hope that we would reconcile”Further, when Michael was asked how he ‘won’ Catherine back, he said it was ‘mutual.’“What, I won her back? It was a mutual … You know, we had our problems, but I love her dearly and, 25 years, you know,” Michael Douglas said.He went on to say that marriage is ‘a lot of work.’ Giving an update on his current marital status, he said that they are in ‘good shape.’“I mean, I don’t know about your marital status, but marriage is a lot of work, you know. And so, you know, we’re good. We’re in good shape. Last year in November, they celebrated their silver wedding anniversary for completing 25 years together. The duo first met in 1998 at the Deauville Film Festival in France.
