On January 22, American commentator Matt Walsh reacted to Sinners’ nominations for the Oscars 2026 Awards. Earlier in the day, the Academy announced the nominations for the year’s Oscar Awards with Sinners bagging the most nominations. Ryan Coogler’s movie got nominated for a total of 16 categories, making it Oscars’ most nominated film of all time.

Matt Walsh reshared a post mentioning the movie’s new record with his reaction. Matt Walsh dubbed Michael B. Jordan’s starrer as the most ‘overrated’ movie ever made.

“It’s like when everyone pretended that Black Panther was some kind of cinematic masterpiece. Everyone knows what’s going on here. Almost all of the praise is exclusively because of the black cast and director. Easily one of the most overrated movies ever made.” Matt Walsh wrote.

The Ryan Coogler-directed movie made history as the most-nominated film at the Oscar ever, surpassing the 14 nominations previously held by renowned movies like All About Eve, Titanic and La La Land.
