Zara Larsson slammed Donald Trump's White House once again after they used her song Midnight Sun in another recent ICE-related video. The new video, which was posted on White House’s TikTok account, reportedly promoted ICE arrests and deportations. In response to this, the artist shared another TikTok video from her account. She said she was ‘sad’ after seeing the video. With a heavy heart, Zara added that she wants to talk to the person who made that video. She said:“I’m just sad. My heart is heavy seeing that, because I wish I could speak to whoever made that video. I wish I could talk to you, and I wish I could help you remember that you and I, we aren’t that different. And we’re not that different from the people in the video, either. The biggest difference between us is that we were dealt a different hand in life.”Zara Larsson called herself ‘lucky’ for the education and opportunities she got in her life, unlike immigrants. She further labeled the ICE video as ‘dehumanizing.’“There are people out there who are not that lucky, and they want to have a better life for their families. I just don’t understand how it could be the worst thing in the world to be an undocumented immigrant. This video is so dehumanizing.”Lastly, Zara Larsson said that immigrants are also ‘real’ people who are ‘undocumented.’ She also highlighted how her song Midnight Sun, which captures the essence of people and nature, has been used in an ICE video.“These people in the video are real people. There’s a f**king guy in there with construction wear. He’s working. These people who are undocumented are regular people with jobs, and they’re just trying to have a better future. It’s so crazy how everything is so meme-ified, especially ‘Midnight Sun,’ which is about feeling connected to nature, the universe, and people. And this just creates this massive divide between people. It’s so f**king uncool. You guys are such f**king losers,” Zara Larsson said.Trump’s White House used another of Zara Larsson’s songsThis isn’t the first instance when White House used Zara Larsson’s music. In January this year, the White House added another of the artist’s songs, named Lush Life, in one of their videos. The previous video featured POTUS dancing to Lush Life with phrases supporting his administration and ICE on the screen. One of its phrases read:“WE LOVE ICE and our law enforcement!”Following this, Zara shared a story on her Instagram handle showing support and love for immigrants, abortions, queers, and criminals, and hate for ICE.For those unaware, Zara Larsson dropped her fifth album, named Midnight Sun, in September last year. The album featured an eponymous soundtrack.
