Ray J, the rapper and reality TV star has made multiple headlines this week as new photos of him in a Las Vegas hospital have gone viral. The forty-five-year-old was knocked out by internet personality Supa Hot Fire at the Brand Risk 14 celebrity MMA event on Saturday. As per a report shared by TMZ, which published the images sourced from Ray J's team, the photos show him lying shirtless under the hospital covers and connected to medical monitors. In some of the shots, his eyes are wide open and he is gazing upward. In another, he is clearly fast asleep, his arms resting beneath the pillow.

Sources close to Ray J told TMZ that by Tuesday he had been in the Las Vegas facility for three consecutive days, with no discharge expected for several more, a timeline considerably longer than most had initially anticipated. As per a separate report shared by TMZ, Ray J, whose full name is William Ray Norwood Jr., had arrived at the hospital on his own approximately two hours after the fight ended, where doctors began running a series of tests to check for a possible concussion and to look into potential heart concerns.

As per a report shared by Entertainment Weekly, Ray J came out looking competitive during his faceoff with Supa Hot Fire, whose full name is Dewayne DeShawn Stevenson. Ray J was floored by a clean punch in the second round. He crumpled toward the ropes and ended up on the canvas, clearly shaken, before eventually finding his footing again and being guided to a corner stool. The official stepped in and called a halt to the bout shortly after.

In a post-match interview shared on X, Ray J opened up, and his comments suggested an arrangement had been in place heading into the fight that Supa Hot Fire chose not to honor.

"Damn bro … like that? For real … that's janky as f***," he shared.
"I don't want to say too much because I don't want to get nobody in trouble, but damn… we took an L tonight," he continued.

He then added,

"You know how much money we lost? Wow."

The knockout at Brand Risk 14 is not the first time Ray J has made headlines over his health in recent months. As per a report shared by TMZ, the singer was taken to a Las Vegas hospital on Jan. 6 for treatment after coming down with pneumonia and experiencing heart pain. In a Jan. 25 Instagram post, Ray J revealed he had come close to losing his life but credited the prayers of his fans and loved ones with seeing him through.

"I was in the hospital. My heart's only beating, like, 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be alright," he said.
"So thank you for all your prayers," he added.

He later admitted his health was still "not okay" but shared his gratitude for those who had supported him.

"Thank you to my mom, [sister] Brandy, and my dad, and everybody for helping me through," he said.

In a livestream that later circulated across social media, William Ray Norwood Jr. told viewers that his medical team had informed him he had only a few months left to live.

"2027 is definitely a wrap for me," he said.

When a friend pushed back on the claim, William Ray Norwood Jr. replied,

"That's what the doctor said!"

He gestured to his chest and explained the damage.

"I f**ked my heart up on the right side, right here," he said.
"It's, like, black. It's like gun," he added.

William Ray Norwood Jr., then connected his condition to years of substance abuse.

"I f**ked up. You know why? ... Because I think I thought I had more weight. I thought I was a big [shot], so I could handle all the alcohol. I could handle all the Adderall. I could handle all the drugs, but I couldn't. And it curbed my time here."

At the peak of his substance use, William Ray Norwood Jr., confessed to drinking "four or five bottles a day" and taking "10 Addies" at a time.

"I'm like, 'Ain't nothing happening to me? F**k it. I'm indestructible,'" he remarked.
"Joke's on me. Take care of yourselves, y'all," he added.
