The Kennedy Center hosted the premiere of Amazon's new Melania Trump documentary. As per a report shared by The New York Times, the event came after a $35 million marketing campaign. Celebrities, right-wing influencers, Republican elected officials and members of President Trump's cabinet attended the premiere.Photos from the event went viral on social media. As per a report shared by CNN, the first lady addressed the crowd at the premiere Thursday evening. Influencers, cabinet officials and celebrities gathered in the opera house of the newly rebranded Trump Kennedy Center."Some have called this a documentary. It is not. It is a creative experience that offers perspectives, insights and moments," she said.Trump made a $40 million deal with Amazon MGM Studios. As per a report shared by Variety, ICE raids in Minneapolis and other parts of the country have caused increased backlash against the administration. The backlash targeted the glitzy White House screening earlier this week and the latest premiere. Apple CEO Tim Cook had attended the White House screening as well.
