Lil Poppa’s TikTok post, which he shared two weeks ago has gone viral. The Jacksonville rapper signed to CMG passed away on February 18 at the age of 25.

An old video of his has resurfaced on the internet where he speaks candidly about his upcoming projects. The clip has now gone viral on social media and has been shared by multiple accounts. He says:

"I got one more album [ep/mixtape, whichever one it’s gonna be] and then I’m going to find my peace."

His death has been confirmed by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office in Georgia, with the cause still under investigation and no official details released yet. Born Janarious Mykel Wheeler he was known for pain-driven melodic trap style and stood out in the hip hop scene for lyrics on themes like relationships, mental health struggles, survival and personal growth.

Lil Poppa’s resurfaced social media post sparks concern among fans

Lil Poppa’s old video where he is seen speaking on his upcoming projects has resurfaced and gone viral. The clip has left his fans wondering what led to his sudden death with many interpreting it as a potential cry for help.

“Mental health is real. We gotta take these signs seriously.”

A user said.

Another chimed in.

Lil Poppa openly discussed his mental struggles in interviews and through his music. He spoke about suffering from chronic pain due to sickle cell anaemia, an inherited blood disorder.

Also, his last Instagram story has circulated widely sparking concern among his fans. It featured him listening to a Rod Wave song titled Letting it go with on-screen lyrics highlighted that read something along the lines of:

“Don't wanna go to no club, no/ I just wanna chill/You know what happened/ I know what happened/ world never will.”

Fans interpreted it as cryptic and ominous as it hinted at something personal and tragic.

Lil Poppa began his music career as a child, writing and performing rhymes in church at the age of 12. However, he made his official debut in the rap scene in his mid-teens. His earliest known record was Fall Off, which dropped on August 19, 2016. He made his breakthrough in the music industry with singles such from 2018 Purple Hearts and Nightmare on Elm Street.

Four years back in 2022, he signed with Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group, marking a significant moment in his music career. He released multiple projects throughout his career, out of which some went on to become hits, including tracks such as Love & War, Mind Over Matter and Happy Tears. Just days before his demise, he released a new track, Out of Town Bae. He had over one million followers on Instagram.
