On October 28, Megyn Kelly reacted to Jennifer Lawrence’s The CUT magazine cover amid rumors of her hooded eye plastic surgery. In her latest episode, Megyn discussed Jennifer Lawrence, drawing parallels with other celebrities who have undergone plastic surgery, such as Jennifer Grey, Renée Zellweger, Kim Kardashian, and Charlize Theron.
The political commentator showed her new magazine cover, saying that she looked “completely unrecognizable.”
“If I didn't tell you that that was Jennifer Lawrence, you probably wouldn't know it was her. She looks completely unrecognizable.”
Kelly went on to say that the Silver Linings Playbook actress didn’t look like herself, the reason being that she got her 'upper eyelids' done. Megyn added that Jennifer Lawrence is very young for such a procedure.
“She does not look like herself. And very clearly the reason for that is she has had her upper eyelids done. Now she is only uh 36 years old. She appears to have had this procedure at 36, which is very young for something like that,” Kelly added.
She further talked about her eyes saying that they are the windows to the soul. Megyn Kelly said Lawrence changed one of the “most beautiful” faces in America with her procedure. She added:
“This is about the eyes, the windows to the soul, and how dramatically she has changed one of the most beautiful faces in America. And let me tell you, she's not the first one to so dramatically change her face that it is now making national news.”
Further, in the video, the podcaster dubbed Jennifer’s eyelid procedure as a “drastic decision,” asking her to “fix it.”
“I don’t know why you'd make such a drastic decision like this. Please, please fix it.”
Megyn Kelly mentioned Renée Zellweger while talking about Jennifer Lawrence’s hooded eyes
Megyn also discussed American actress Renée Zellweger and compared her to Jennifer Lawrence. In the past, there were rumors that Zellweger got her upper eyelids done, but she denied plastic surgery rumors in 2014.
Kelly said that Lawrence reminded her of Renée, who was popular for her hooded eyes. She claimed that Zellweger also got her eyelids done, which made her unrecognizable.
“And it reminds me of what Renée Zellweger did to her eyes. She was another one just like Jennifer Lawrence who was kind of famous for her hooded eyes, and she became super well known for having them, and then she clearly got the eyelids done,” Megyn said.
She added:
“There's nothing wrong with that; women do it. I'm not judging. I'm saying they went too far to the point where when Renée Zellweger first got that done, she looked unrecognizable.”
Further, she urged Jennifer to get back her hooded eyes as Zellweger did in the past. Megyn Kelly said that Renée got her eyelids corrected by another surgeon.
“And guess what? There's pretty good word on the street. She had to go to another plastic surgeon to add fat back into her eyelids to correct another surgeon's overcorrection. Which is why Renée Zellweger again looks like Renée Zellweger. And Jennifer Lawrence, I am begging you to do the same thing.”
The podcaster also said that ‘less is more.’ She also questioned why the world feels that surgical intervention is always better.
