As per news reports, actress Reese Witherspoon gave an update about her father's well- being after he was rushed to the hospital following a fall. Witherspoon's father John Witherspoon reportedly suffered a fall at their Nashville house. John is 84-years-old.On August 07, Reese took to the social media platform Instagram and updated fans about her father's health.“Earlier today, several outlets reported that my dad was taken to the hospital after a fall. I want to let everyone know that he is fine now. He is being taken care of by wonderful doctors and nurses”. Reese Witherspoon wrote on Instagram “Thank you to everyone who reached out,” the 50-year-old added. “It means the world to our family,” she continued According to People, a man was found unconcious near his pool area in Nashville, Tennessee around 4 in the evening. The information was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Nashville Metro Emergency Communications to the publication. The man was immediately transported to a nearby hospital.Witherspoon has mentioned in interviews that her father John, who is a retired otolaryngologist and former U.S. Army lieutenant colonel and her mother Betty, a nurse have always been supportive of her career and the choices she made.Mentioning about following the footsteps of her parents, Witherspoon admitted to Marie Claire in 2008 that she was somewhat hesitatant to not follow her parent's career path. “I had to struggle with giving up the idea of becoming a doctor myself", Reese Witherspoon told the publication. “I had parents who believed I could do anything and I know how that made me feel.
