The Money In The Grave rapper Rick Ross recently had a small victory in his domestic violence case in Miami, Florida, as his felony battery charges were dropped.

According to TMZ, the prosecutors filed two misdemeanor charges against Ross, 50, including battery and domestic violence. The top felony battery charge against Cross That Line rapper-turned-music executive was dropped mainly due to lack of evidence.

As cited by TMZ, while Ross pleaded not guilty, the Everyday Hustle hitmaker, according to The Guardian, was taken into custody in Florida's Miami Beach after being charged with domestic violence and was processed into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on October 1, 2026.

According to The Guardian, widely known for his major collaborations with high-profile music artists such as Nicki Minaj, Drake, and DJ Khaled, Ross, who dropped his latest album on July 17, 2026, was arrested in relation to his former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, who reportedly accused Ross of physical abuse toward her.

While Rick Ross' felony battery charges were dropped, the Grammy-nominated rapper was reportedly accused by his former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, of physical abuse. According to The Guardian, Kendrick took to her Instagram Stories and shared pictures of swollen lips, claiming it was caused by Rick Ross. In her IG Stories, Jazzma Kendrick, a social media content creator-turned-real estate agent, wrote:

"He saw a punching bag. The day Rick busted my lip and the day I left."

She continued:

"I don’t know a lot of things, but I do know that a man who puts his hands on me, is a man that never loved me and never will."

Kendrick concluded by writing:

"It’s always good until it isn’t. If a man hits you one time, he will do it again. Don’t give him the opportunity. Value your life and leave."
