Russell Brand has shared his thoughts on the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He alleged that it looked like "controlled demolition" instead of falling due to fire.The horrific terrorist attacks took place in the US on September 11, 2001. It saw four hijacked airplanes crash in the country. Two planes flew right into the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center, and one crashed into the Pentagon. The passengers in the fourth plane had fought back, and it crashed in a rural field in Pennsylvania.A few hours after the Twin Towers fell, Building 7 of the World Trade Center also collapsed. It wasn't hit by a plane, but reports claim that it suffered damage due to the debris from the Twin Towers. Moreover, it led to a fire, collapsing the building, but the people were evacuated by then.Russell Brand recently spoke about this on his podcast and reiterated the conspiracy theory that Building 7 was allegedly demolished. However, at around 5:20 pm, fires were reported on several floors. It was promptly evacuated, and it fell a few hours later.As per the report, the building had several floors dedicated to the US Secret Service, the US Department of Defense, and the CIA. It also had several big names like American Express and investment banks. Furthermore, the BBC reported on the collapse of the building a few minutes before it even happened. All these factors have led many, like Russell Brand, to believe that it was a "controlled demolition". They point to the building falling straight down instead of sideways to allege that most of its pillars were damaged at the same time. Moreover, some allege that the building even hosted the command center for the 9/11 attacks.US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), however, conducted extensive research and published a report in 2008. They claimed that due to the attack on the Twin Towers, the water sprinkler system of the World Trade Center had collapsed. Hence, the report claims that the fire in Building 7 spread rapidly and could not be controlled.
