According to recent news report by Entertainment News, Ryan Seacrest cancelled his RSVP to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding after accepting the invitation.

When the American Idol host secured a position to emcee the Disney Celebrates America: Nashville's Star-Spangled Bash televised event, he gave up on attending the couple's July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

During an episode of On Air With Ryan Seacrest on July 06, Ryan opened up about getting the gig and eventually cancelling his RSVP in the wedding "I RSVPd to go, and then Disney hired me to do the Fourth of July 250 special and so, I had to cancel."

Ryan Seacrest responded to his co-hosts Sisanie and Tanya Rad's lighthearted remarks that his invitation was a "waste," saying, "I was kind of torn." I made an effort to do both. We went live on the third, but I made an effort to attend the wedding and get ready for the performance."

"The irony was, after I RSVP'd the wedding, I saw them at dinner at a restaurant. She was like, 'Oh, it's going to be so much fun. We're going to have the best time. It's going to go late," said Seacrest.
He went on, "I RSVP'd yes, I saw them a couple weeks later to confirm, then I had to cancel," saying that he "had no choice" but to cancel. "This is part of my job at Disney."

Even worse, he said that Swift was ecstatic about his first RSVP.

Despite the Blank Space singer's and the NFL star's desire to keep their wedding date private, Seacrest kept the specifics of his invitation under oath.

"I had to keep it secret," he stated. "It was a confidential invitation to everybody that was invited."

He actually kept his invitation a secret from co-hosts Sisanie and Rad. Ryan Seacrest said, "When you were doing your reports about the wedding, I was just on the inside screaming. On the outside, very composed to protect the privacy that they wanted."

About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding

After dating for almost an year, mega star Taylor Swift and super-bowl champion Travis Kelce tied the knot at the Madison Square Garden in a royal American wedding on July 3, Friday.

In front of 1,000 guests, including well-known pals like Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, and Patrick Mahomes, the pair exchanged vows. Adam Sandler, who costarred with Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2, presided over the event. Austin Swift, Swift's brother, served as her Man of Honor, and Sandler's brother was Best Man.

Madison Square Garden may seem like an unusual location for a wedding, but it makes sense for Taylor Swift and Kelce because their relationship coincides with two of the venue's main draws: big sporting events and blockbuster concerts. Additionally, it provides a number of privacy, security, and safety benefits.
