On May 29, Candace Owens shared screenshots of an email allegedly sent by TPUSA and their current CEO, Erika Kirk. As shown in the email, the late Charlie Kirk’s company sent an email containing pictures of his private letters and notes he left for Erika Kirk. Candace Owens slammed Turning Point in a new post for using Charlie’s personal notes to fundraise. In her X post, Candace Owens said;“Sharing private letters from your dead husband for the express purpose of fundraising is as tasteless as it is classless and I am without patience for those pretending otherwise.”She further called the company’s actions shameless, emotional manipulation for money. Owens attacked Erika Kirk for sharing the emails, which were not even written by her.“There is nothing beautiful about this. It is shameless emotional-manipulation for money, made worse by the fact that these e-mails are not even authored by her.”Blake Neff responded after Candace Owens targeted TPUSA and Erika KirkTPUSA spokesman Blake Neff responded to Candace’s recent comments by sharing her post, stating that no one has profited from Charlie Kirk’s death as much as Candace Owens has. In turn, Blake Neff accused the political commentator of sharing Charlie Kirk’s private conversations in her podcast. He wrote:“Nobody has profiteered more off of Charlie's death than you have, Candace, and you share plenty of Charlie's private communications with you.”Blake pointed out how Candace has targeted Erika with messages over a decade old. Neff criticized the former Daily Wire host for embarrassing Charlie’s widow with accusations such as she was involved in her husband’s death.“But there are a few important differences: 1. You were not Charlie's wife. 2. Your messages tend to be from half a decade ago or more -- I wonder why! 3. You love referring to dates he went on and women he knew prior to Erika. There is very clearly no reason to do this except trying to humiliate Erika, and you were doing even before you started accusing her of helping murder Charlie.”Lastly, he defended TPUSA, saying that the company needs money for its conferences, campus, and faith events. Blake said:“You do all of this to profit yourself. Yeah, Turning Point needs to raise money. It does that because it actually does things. It puts on multiple conferences a year, it organizes campus events and faith events; TP Action employs literally hundreds of people for ballot chasing efforts in swing states.”He called out Owens, saying that she made profits with Charlie Kirk’s death and did nothing with that money.“You've never done anything remotely comparable -- and you couldn't, because you have neither the talent nor the selflessness to do it.”Charlie Kirk died on September 10 last year, allegedly shot by Tyler Robinson. While the suspect is still on trial, Candace Owens has expressed doubts about the murder and questioned the involvement of TPUSA and Erika Kirk in a possible cover-up.
