On May 29, Gary Melton reacted after Candace Owens attacked Erika Kirk for using Charlie Kirk’s alleged love letters for a fundraiser after his death. Marlier in the day, the political commentator posted screenshots of an email seemingly sent by TPUSA’s CEO, Erika Kirk. As mentioned in the shared email, Turning Point sent an email containing pictures of Charlie Kirk’s private letters and notes left for Erika. Owens criticized TPUSA in an X post for using Charlie’s private notes for money.

Paramount Tactical host, Gary Melton, shared Owens’ post and called her out for exploiting Charlie Kirk by leaking all his texts since his death. For those unaware, Charlie Kirk was killed in September last year.

Gary also accused Owens of allegedly monetizing Charlie’s death with her false narratives. He said Candace has nothing new to share about Charlie, since she parted ways with TPUSA in 2019. In his post, Gary wrote:

“Wow, Candace Owens’ projection knows no bounds. She’s exploited and leaked every text she ever had with Charlie Kirk that she could monetize or use to push her false narratives. Too bad she has none left to share after 2019 — when Charlie forced her to resign. But yeah… “best friends.””

What did Candace Owens say in her X post?

In her post, the former Daily Wire host said that it is ‘tasteless’ and ‘classless’ for Erika Kirk to share her late husband’s private letters for fundraising. She wrote:

“Sharing private letters from your dead husband for the express purpose of fundraising is as tasteless as it is classless and I am without patience for those pretending otherwise.”

Candace Owens criticized Turning Point’s actions as shameless emotional manipulation for profit. She also attacked Erika Kirk for sharing emails that were not even authored by her.

“There is nothing beautiful about this. It is shameless emotional-manipulation for money, made worse by the fact that these e-mails are not even authored by her.”

Besides Gary Melton, TPUSA representative, Blake Neff also reacted to Candace Owens’ new post. He accused Owens of sharing Charlie’s private chats in her podcast episodes. Blake said:

“Nobody has profiteered more off of Charlie's death than you have, Candace, and you share plenty of Charlie's private communications with you.”

For those unaware, Charlie Kirk was killed by a shooter on September 10 last year while he was hosting a campus event at UVU. The murder suspect, Tyler Robinson, was later taken into custody. Shortly after his death, Erika Kirk took over TPUSA as CEO. Candace Owens, on the other hand, has been skeptical of Turning Point and Erika since Charlie’s assassination.
