"She's funny": Tom Cruise speaks candidly about his conversation with Taylor Swift while they were watching the Chiefs game

Tom Cruise recently opened up about his conversation with Taylor Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs game. He said that the singer-songwriter "schooled" him about football and praised her humor and writing.

Taylor Swift is married to Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. She was in attendance to watch their game against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Monday, September 14. The Chiefs won 31-10.

Swift was spotted sitting and having a conversation with Tom Cruise at the game. The actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday and spoke about meeting the singer. When Fallon asked him what they were talking about, Cruise said:

"She was schooling me on football. For real. Like, she was bringing the football. First of all, she’s a genius. I’ve been following her since she was a kid. Everybody there, all their friends, they’re a beautiful couple, you know, and magical in their own right. And everybody there in that booth. I haven’t been to a football game since pre-COVID, you know, when I was working and everything. So to get to hang out there and have that moment, it was a lot."

Tom Cruise said that Taylor Swift "didn't know anything" about football before meeting Travis Kelce. However, he added that she now knows everything. He also said that they spoke about music and movies, and added:

"She's funny. She's got such a great sense of humour. She is a brilliant writer, also."

According to the Daily Mail, there are rumors that Cruise and Swift might even collaborate on the Days of Thunder sequel.

Tom Cruise and Taylor Swift have reportedly become good friends after the actor attended her show

The Mission: Impossible actor attended Taylor Swift's show in London in the summer of 2024 during her Eras Tour. According to the Daily Mail, the two superstars have become friends since then. An insider reportedly told the outlet that they "hang out together" when possible and have gotten "close".

Another insider explained that both of them are hugely popular and have immense stardom. Hence, they can talk about their lives, and Swift reportedly "learns so much from talking" to Tom Cruise. The insider said that the duo "understand each other".

Taylor Swift was, notably, a fan of the actor from childhood. Hence, when he contacted her reps for tickets for her London show in 2024, she ensured the best seats in the house. An insider added:

"She admits she was overwhelmed when he came backstage after the show to tell her how amazing she was. She grew up watching his movies and was a big fan."

Moreover, Tom Cruise is a big football fan, while Swift's husband, Travis Kelce, is also a big fan of the actor. Hence, the trio has become close friends.

The outlet added that the trio could collaborate on the sequel to Days of Thunder. Kelce recently did a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2 and could do the same in Days of Thunder 2, while Swift could reportedly make a song for the movie.
