Ahead of the US midterm elections, which are set for November 3, 2026, Vice President JD Vance was present at a Republican Party rally in Monroe's LevelUp Training Complex on October 15, 2026, where he showed support for the Michigan candidate Mike Rogers, running for the US Senate, and took a shot at the Democratic Party candidate Abdul El-Sayed, calling him the "most extreme candidate to ever run for US Senate," according to WTOL11.

JD Vance's criticism of the epidemiologist-turned-politician Abdul El-Sayed comes after President Donald Trump took a dig at him in one of his Truth Social posts, in which he called El-Sayed a "radical extremist and terrorist sympathizer," while he advocated for Mike Rogers, urging the people of Michigan to vote for him as the President made it clear that Rogers has his complete support.

During the political rally in Monroe on Thursday, as Vance spoke highly of Rogers and showed his support for him, an individual from among the crowd present at the LevelUp Training Complex asked the Vice President to "lock" Abdul El-Sayed, to which the Vice President replied:

"Sir, you can say that. I can't."

The clip of JD Vance saying the above-mentioned quote was shared by journalist Aaron Rupar on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle. Check out Rupar's X post below:

During his speech at Monroe's recent political rally ahead of the US midterm elections, where he advocated for Republican Party candidate Mike Rogers, JD Vance criticized Abdul El-Sayed, referring to him as one of the worst people in the history of US elections. According to WTOL11, Vance also said:

"Abdul doesn't love this community, Democrat or Republican."

While Vance went on about how El-Sayed reportedly has links to the Muslim Brotherhood and how he does not care about the needs of the people of Michigan, the US Vice President concluded his speech by saying:

"A little weasel who should shut his mouth and show gratitude to the country that gave him everything."
