During his media interaction, the director shared his interest in directing another web-slinger film with Tobey Maguire. He said,"Yeah, they loved him in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the old characters. Doc Oc and Green Goblin, played by Alfred Molina and William Dafoe. I think the kids would like to see him. Right now Marvel is very successful on their own tangent with their own Spider-Man and where he is involved with the Avengers and the other superheroes, so I don't think it makes sense right now to break up the great successful run that they are having just to allow me to make another Spider-Man movie. But I'd love to and the day might come and I'd love to do it."In 2023, Maguire also spoke about returning with the web slinger.“I love these films and I love all of the different series. If these guys called me and said, “Would you show up tonight to hang out and goof around?” or “Would you show up to do this movie or read a scene or do a Spider-Man thing?” it would be a 'Yes!' Because why wouldn’t I want to do that?”Maguire returned as the character after nearly 14 years with No Way Home. He has collaborated with Raimi in the 2002 film. It was written by David Koepp, while Ian Bryce and Laura Ziskin were the producers. The film was a critical success and grossed $826 million globally. Its sequel was released in 2004. The film saw a similar success to the first one. However, the third installment was a critical failure.Stay tuned to Soap Central for more such stories.
