“The devil overplayed his hand this time”: Candace Owens remembers Charlie Kirk, says he was ‘betrayed’ on his first death anniversary

On September 10, Candace Owens remembered Charlie Kirk on his first death anniversary. The political commentator, who has worked with the late political activist in the past, dedicated her latest podcast episode to Charlie. She wrote an open letter to the late activist.

In her letter, Candace Owens claimed that Kirk was ‘betrayed’. She shared that she told her husband George that Charlie was betrayed even before she heard of his death. Candace Owens said:

“I want you to know that I already know, so you don't need to keep insisting. You know, before we even found out that you didn't make it, I knew you were betrayed. I told George that as we prayed in his office, I said, "They betrayed him."”

She added that those who betrayed him won’t get away with it.

“Instantly, Charlie, like an old memory, had just been triggered. I also know that they're not going to get away with it. They made a mistake. The devil overplayed his hand this time,” Owens added.

Candace Owens claimed that Charlie Kirk’s death was intentionally broadcast

Further in her episode, the former Daily Wire host claimed that Kirk’s death was broadcast intentionally. She said it’s strange that the video of Charlie Kirk’s assassination was shown on various social media platforms. Candace said:

“I have this deep sense that they wanted me to see you die. The manner in which it was broadcast globally all across social media doesn't make any sense. It defied algorithmic norms. Facebook, TikTok, X.”

She also raised doubts about how no measures were taken to remove the video of his murder from these platforms.

“Suddenly, all of their preventative measures that are designed to catch and remove violence from their platforms immediately malfunctioned that day. They wanted everyone to watch you die. For what reason, I'm not sure,” Owens said.

Candace Owens also mentioned Charlie Kirk’s memorial in her open letter. She compared his memorial to a RNC rally. She mentioned that Ben Shapiro became linked with TPUSA soon after Charlie’s death, even though Owens had previously said that Charlie never liked Ben Shapiro.

For those unfamiliar, Charlie Kirk died on September 10 last year after he was allegedly shot by suspect Tyler Robinson during his event at UVU.
