"The Secret Service gives you a poncho": Jimmy Fallon jokes after reports of Trump’s secret Cabinet points system and award for winners surface

Jimmy Fallon took a dig at Donald Trump after reports of a points system for his cabinet emerged on Tuesday, September 15. He also highlighted the Supreme Court's rejection of his plans for in-mail voting for the midterms.

On Saturday, September 12, The Atlantic released a report about Trump's planning ahead of the midterm elections this November. They alleged that he has introduced a points system for members of his cabinet. The members are given points based on their activity in helping promote the POTUS and his administration.

According to the report, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and presidential assistant Meghan Bauer coordinate this project. They take note of the Cabinet members' trips to swing states or districts to promote POTUS. The members are encouraged to speak to local media and speak about how Trump's administration has benefited people.

The report alleged that the members leading the points chart could also get a dinner with Donald Trump. Jimmy Fallon referenced this on his show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, on Tuesday, September 15, and said:

"Ahead of the midterms, President Trump is awarding his cabinet members points based on how many campaign visits they make, and the winner gets to have dinner with Trump. I'm not sure watching Trump eat is the reward he thinks it is. Dinner with Trump is a very unique experience. The Secret Service gives you a poncho and warns you that you're in the splash zone."

According to The Atlantic's report, the aforementioned contest is from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It added that different Cabinet members made 46 visits to Texas during this period, the highest among 13 states. They made 42 visits to Pennsylvania and 40 to New York.

They added that Small Business Administration head Kelly Loeffler is leading the points charge, having made at least 18 campaign trips.

Jimmy Fallon shares his thoughts on the Supreme Court rejecting Donald Trump's mail-in ballot plans

The Supreme Court rejected the POTUS's appeal to restrict mail ballots ahead of the midterms. It claimed that the election process will continue as it has been for years. Moreover, it added that some states have already sent mail ballots to the voters and an overhaul wasn't possible anymore.

Jimmy Fallon took a dig at the 80-year-old for this, saying on his show:

"The Supreme Court rejected Trump's plans to limit mail-in voting for the November elections. Well, that can only mean one thing, and Trump will now double his voter bribe to $10,000. Supreme Court said the new voting plan would lead to mistakes, delays, and confusion. Troubles like, besides the reflecting pool, the ballroom, and the war, when does that ever happen?"

Trump, meanwhile, slammed the Supreme Court judges for their decision via Truth Social posts. He wrote:

"...Certain Justices are petrified of these crazed and depraved Democrats, and are totally unable to show the courage necessary to save our America."

He said that they have let the country down and are "merely a shell of their original selves."
