On September 14, President Trump targeted Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei following his call to slow down AI development. Earlier on September 12, Amodei shared his written essay in which he talked about reasons to slow down the progress of AI due to its associated risks.President Trump has consistently shown his support for AI and highlighted its benefits in his interviews. He slammed Anthropic CEO in his new Truth Social post and said that Amodei is now attempting to be a ‘perfect little angel.’“The only control or “guardrails” that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades! The Trump Administration has stopped AI “people” from doing bad, or potentially bad, “things,“ like Dario (Anthropic!), who is now pretending to be a “perfect little angel” - and we will continue to do so! We already have tremendous CRIMINAL and REGULATORY power over these companies!,” POTUS wrote. He added that there is a ‘sick’ conspiracy going around AI.“There is a SICK conspiracy going on against AI and Data Centers, and the only one that is happy about it is China. WHOEVER WINS AI, WINS! We are leading China, and all others, and will continue to do so. Conspiracy Theorists, Treasonists, Traitors, and Leakers, BEWARE!,” Trump added.President Trump said AI is creating a million jobs in recent interviewEarlier on September 3, the POTUS backed AI during his interview with GB News. When host Bev Turner inquired about the growing concerns that AI might eliminate millions of jobs, the president defended AI by stating that it will instead create jobs by fostering new businesses and opportunities for people. He even said that AI is going to be ‘positive.’"I think it'll create millions of jobs because it's going to create business and people, you know, computers and things have to be created in some form. And they're created by man. They are created, but they're created by us. It's going to always start with us. But I think it actually will. And so far, I'm right, because it's creating millions and millions of jobs. And these are construction jobs. But AI is going to be positive." President Trump said.In related news, the tech moguls, Elon Musk and Sam Altman, backed Dario Amodei’s suggestion to slow down the growth of AI. In a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Dario also urged US and China to set some ‘speed limit’ on AI.
