"They also do weddings!": Harry Styles appears to reference Taylor Swift's Madison Square Garden nuptials

Harry Styles had Madison Square Garden fans cheering when he made a playful reference to weddings during his residency at the New York venue.

During the third night of his 30-show Together, Together residency, the English singer-songwriter pointed out the arena's connection to the New York Knicks before making yet another surprising observation.

"We're at Madison Square Garden, home of the world champion New York Knicks. And they also do weddings!"

The joke drew a loud reaction from the crowd, who were quick to connect the comment to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding at the venue earlier this summer.

Recalling, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift dated from 2012 to 2013. Their brief romance has long been linked to songs from both artists, with Taylor Swift's Style widely believed to reference their romance and Harry Styles' Two Ghosts also interpreted by fans as being about their relationship.

While the Sign of the Times hitmaker wasn't at Swift and Kelce's nuptials, it is publicly known that the former couple is on good and cordial terms.

The exes have shown mutual respect and friendliness when running into each other at award shows like the Grammys.

Reports also revealed that Harry Styles was invited to attend the much-anticipated wedding, but he couldn't go due to prior commitments. The singer is currently on his Together, Together world tour, performing a massive 30-night residency at the massive venue.

His residency is supporting his latest album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. The run is scheduled to conclude in December.

Currently, Harry Styles is with actress Zoë Kravitz. The pair got engaged in April after dating for eight months.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden was attended by around 1,000 guests, including Ed Sheeran, Lena Dunham, Jason Kelce, and the Haim sisters. Paul McCartney, Brad Pitt, Karlie Kloss, and Tom Cruise were among the other reported guests.

The wedding was reportedly officiated by veteran comedian Adam Sandler, also a friend of the couple.

According to guests' accounts, obtained by celebrity page Deuxmoi, Swift and Kelce's wedding:

"featured late-night karaoke with Ciara, Sabrina Carpenter, Kesha, The Chainsmokers, Avril Lavigne, and Tate McRae, while Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks reportedly performed."

They added:

"Guests feasted on everything from steak to donuts. We're also told Taylor walked down the aisle to a romantic instrumental version of 'Love Story,' which explains the 'Bridgerton'-inspired reference in our previous post."

Further, the page shared that Swift's wedding speech brought the guests to tears, and that the couple's vows were each 20 minutes long.
