"They got it all!": Joe Amabile shares recovery update after brain lesion surgery

Joe Amabile is recuperating after a brain lesion he was recently diagnosed with was surgically removed from his body.

The Bachelor Nation alum, 40, recently shared the encouraging update, revealing that doctors successfully removed the lesion. Alongside a series of photos from the hospital, Amabile wrote:

"They got it all!"

From the pictures shown, Amabile was seen smiling in his hospital bed with a bandage on his head. In one picture, Amabile can be seen giving a peace sign while recovering in his room.

Also in the pictures was his wife, Serena Pitt, of four years, holding his hand. There were also images of celebratory snacks after the surgery.

Joe Amabile—nicknamed Grocery Store Joe—previously admitted to his fans that there was a tumor in his brain about the size of a blueberry. He shared the diagnosis with fans less than a month before announcing his surgery.

His latest update prompted an outpouring of support from his fellow Bachelor Nation stars, such as Kaitlyn Bristowe, who reacted to the news by writing:

"HELLL YES THEY DID WHY AM I CRYING."

Another co-star, Ashley Iaconetti, also celebrated Joe Amabile's successful surgery, commenting:

"Yayyyy!!! Praise! So so happy to see this update!!"

Joe Amabile gained popularity when he participated in The Bachelorette before going into Bachelor in Paradise. Later on, he tied the knot with Serena Pitt, who he met in this same reality show franchise.

The couple have been married for four years, and Serena Pitt was by Joe Amabile's side throughout his medical stay and recovery journey.

In a separate post, Serena Pitt reflected on her and her reality star husband's time at the hospital. She also expressed her gratitude to the medical team who tended to Amabile.

"A few peaceful moments from the hospital. Incredibly grateful to the team at NYU Langone Health for their endless patience, care, compassion, and kindness these past few days. Joe is home recovering, and we’re so grateful to have been in such good hands."

The reality TV personality shared with fans that he was diagnosed with an early-stage brain tumor and lesion on July 13, after it was discovered during a full-body MRI scan.

Following the diagnosis, Amabile shared:

"It's been a wild couple weeks, definitely wasn't expecting this. It's one of those things where, 'Oh, something like this never happened to me,' and here I am."

Nonetheless, his wife has been with him every step of the way.

While Amabile has not shared further details about the lesion or his recovery timeline, his latest message indicates the surgery was successful and doctors were able to remove the entire lesion.
