Chris Murphy has slammed Donald Trump after his recent digs at Abdul El-Sayed's name. The POTUS has repeatedly tried to mock the Democratic candidate for the upcoming elections for the Michigan Senate.Abdul El-Sayed's full name is Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed. He is the main candidate from the Democratic Party for the Michigan US Senate. He is up against the Republican candidate, Mike Rogers. In recent weeks, the US President and Vice President have taken digs at El-Sayed, campaigning for Rogers.Trump, notably, has also tried to make fun of his name. During a recent rally, he said (via Aaron Rupar):"His name is actually Abduladadalalalala. It's Adulbabababababa Mohammed Al-Sayed. So his middle name is Mohammed. He is a jihadist. He's a radical leper; he hates our country. He's a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. How about putting him on the Senate Intelligence Committee?"The US Senator from Connecticut, Chris Murphy, slammed the POTUS for his comments, writing on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, October 18:"This is insane. The level of overt, proud racism, hatred and bigotry in today's Republican Party is a stain on every leader in it and it will never ever wash away."Meanwhile, Abdul El-Sayed also responded to this clip on X on Saturday, October 17, and wrote:"He says the name just fine when he’s begging the Qataris for a personal jet or the Saudis for funding for his son-in-law’s private equity firm. Wonder what’s changed?"Dr. Abdul El-Sayed @AbdulElSayedLINKHe says the name just fine when he’s begging the Qataris for a personal jet or the Saudis for funding for his son-in-law’s private equity firm. During a rally in Tennessee earlier this month, he said (h/t Democracy Now):“Like Mohammed El-Sayed — I call him Mohammed. Somebody said, 'His name isn't Mohammed; it’s Abdul.’ I said, 'To me, it's Mohammed.’ I’m the president. I can call him whatever the h*ll I want. To me, he’s Mohammed, and he’s a radical jihadist.”Meanwhile, in a Truth Social post on October 7, he wrote:"Mohammed El-Sayed is a terrible Candidate for the Dumocrats. While his opponent, Mike Rogers, is an extremely good one, Mohammed goes back to the days of the Jihad. He is a RADICAL Extremist, Terrorist Sympathizer, and no different from his best friend, America Hating Hasan Piker."He also endorsed Mike Rogers for the US Senate from Michigan. Abdul El-Sayed responded to this post on X and wrote:"He knows my name is Abdul. He says it every day. But he’s not just attacking me. He’s attacking all of us. He thinks so low of us. He thinks he can use my name and my faith to distract us from the suffering his policies are inflicting on us at the pump, at the grocery store, and at the doctor’s office. He thinks we don’t know any better. It’s time for change."He also spoke about the meaning of his name in another X post. He said that Abdul means "servant" and El-Sayed means "leader". He added that Mohammed means "The Praised One". He therefore said that he was fine if Trump wanted to call him Mohammed instead of Abdul. Also Read: "Sir, you can say that": JD Vance responds after someone from his rally asks him to "lock" up Abdul El-Sayed
